    Wow, you must give up on 90% of the prospects who come into the league. The guy is 23 for pete's sake. Give him a chance.

    When you only give up 5 hits, you should win the ballgame. Other than Fukudome, all of our hitters should be embarrassed by their beginning to the season.

    At least our pitching has been solid for the most part...Hill didn't look dominant today, but only had the one mistake. That's 3 out of 4 games with quality starts. Now, only if we can get the bats going.

    We really shouldn't be surprised. This is pretty much teh same lineup as last year except with Kosuke, so why would we expect it to suddenly start hitting now because he came? I mean he's hitting, but no one else is doing anything, which is typical. The problem is not that we don't have good hitters, they just tend to be streaky. When Soriano and A-Ram are hot, they really deliver the goods. However, I'd trade some of the extreme hot streaks for more consistency throughout. Plus, we need to start working the counts better. Is it too early to replace Perry? If the problem is the cold conditions early in the season, can't we put a bubble over Wrigley? Heck, Budweiser would be happy to sponsor it (Bubble by Bud)...

    What is it that the Cubs seemingly have against taking some pitches. We saw all of 6 pitches that inning...How about getting into a hitter's count every once in a while.

    Since Soriano seems incapable of hitting the ball (or at least being patient) early in the season, does that mean the Cubs can cut his salary the first two months of the season as well? Seems only fair. Heck, even our pitcher took a few pitches that inning.
