  1. Barrett was at 1st, got picked off with 2 outs, and Lee tried to take home while Barrett was in the rundown. He was out easily. OK, that makes more sense. Thanks.
  2. I am at the library, and I couldn't watch the game, but I overheard some guys talking, and they said Lee got caught stealing home?? Did I completely misunderstand them?
  3. Have you been there? I have been wanting to get there sometime and see a game. I hear it is amazing. Also, did the Cigar Bar thing go through?
  4. Dude. Fantastic sig. Thanks! It is from a website that is dedicated to firing Carr. http://www.toleratelosingatmichigan.com I know this is :offtopic:, but I am a Mich. football fan, and I cannot think of anything I disagree with more than firing Carr. I would love to hear why, but you are right, off topic. Sorry to stray from the Tourney. Kind back on topic. Has anyone been to ESPNzone? We will all be watching the final four there in Vegas, and I wondered what to expect. Also, I have not really followed UCLA at all this season. Can anyone (Raisin) tell me how they match up against LSU?
  5. Dude. Fantastic sig. Thanks! It is from a website that is dedicated to firing Carr. http://www.toleratelosingatmichigan.com
  6. I just won the my bracket pool today. 6 of the Elite Eight, and 2 of the Final Four, and it is already over! Its great to get this money early, right before I leave for Vegas! Plus I have two free nights at the bar, and three free dinners coming from some of my friends who laughed at me ("no way LSU beats Duke and Texas") when I filled out my bracket, and made side bets with me.
  7. I don't think there's been any sort of indication that it will be anyone other than Ronny. Thanks. That is what I thought, but every now and again I read or hear something about Neifi and am unsure if that is all just speculation, or there is really a reason for it. Like I said, I am out of the loop right now.
  8. I have been a little busy, and out of the Cubs loop lately, so I have what may be a ridiculous question. Has there been any word on who will be the starting SS come opening day?
  9. That is correct. Something like "Chicago Cubs" something something. Even if you can only see the first letter, it'll change from "V" to "C." Mine went from sayting Virtual Waiting Room, to Cubs Ticketing.
  10. A possible violation and he didn't even push the kid to his favorite team. I had read that it is not a violation since Jeb is not FSU alum. Not sure if that is true or not.
  11. There is an article about Hazelton posted at NDNation, but it has no link to it, so here is a link to the article on NDNation, if anyone want to read it.
  12. Scout: 2004: USC (the top recruits were Fred Davis, Dwayne Jarrett and Keith Rivers) 2003: USC (including Reggie Bush and LenDale White who were only 4-star prospects; the top recruits were QB JD Booty and WR Whitney Lewis who has been a big bust) 2002: Texas (the top recruits were Vince Young and Justin Blalock) Rivals: 2004: USC 2003: LSU (the biggest recruits were RBs Justin Vincent and Alley Broussard, WRs Dwayne Bowe and Craig Davis and QB JaMarcus Russell) 2002: Texas Thanks Raisin and those are the last top 1 teams in the country. I just saw a stat that said since 2002, out of the top 10 recruiting classes for those 3 years, only 3 finished in the top 10 this year.
  13. Not a big surprise... they were a program sliding down a hill before Weis got there. Even last year when he was hired, they couldn't do much to bring in a good recruiting class. One, he was hired late, and two, he was getting ready for the Super Bowl. He couldn't put all his energy into bringing in big time recruits with his present employer needing him for what was a fairly important game. Still, it's no surprise that ND and PSU have big time recruiting classes this year. They are two of the big-name schools in college football. While they slumped in recent years, they still have their own respective mystiques, and for young kids who grew up interested in football, it is hard to turn away from a prestigious program that is gathering a lot of steam. I still think Weis did a decent job last year, considering the obstacles he had. Plus he made a great decision, IMO, by not just getting anybody and only taking 15 players. As a result this year and next year will be huge classes, and Weis will have a full year to recruit them. As to ND's total ranking, they took a 2 star kicker, which caused their ranking to slide down a few spots. However, Weis must have seen something in him (he said his kicks had pop), since he said he will be competing to start next year. Overall I am very, very happy with what Weis was able to do this year. Just goes to show how when Ty was whining about how hard it was to recruit at ND, all he really had to do was get off the golf course, and make an effort (plus maybe win a few super bowls ). Now its time to go after Clausen! This was posted at NDnation.com.
  14. ND was named Scouts "biggest mover" link
  15. I'm sure he doesn't, he just doesn't want to be rude. Why hurt the feelings of his best recruiter
  16. This is interesting. I didn't realize that ND ever really had a shot at Mustain. I'll trade him for Jimmy Clausen, though. Yea, I found that interesting also. I also liked these parts If only Ty or Davie had used that same philosophy
  17. In case anyone cares, the Weis presser. He briefly talks about Mustain, the Fiesta Bowl, Lemming, and of course his recruits. link
  18. Weis said they were going to keep one spot open for a walk-on today during is PC.
  19. Weis was on ESPN Radio a few minutes ago, saying that they have recieved all the faxes, but I have no clue if there were any surprises. Hopefully it gets released soon. He also said many of the frosh will start by the end of the year, and he likes their chances of being a contender, not an also-ran. Edit: I misheard Weis, he said he would like to be a contender, not an also, not that he likes their chances of contending. Also he said that since they only took 15 last year, they will have 25 openings next year, to go with the (i believe) 27 from this year.
  20. I couldn't get the video to play very long, my computer has not been the same since I installed firefox. However, the F-Maryland thing, I admit, was simply heresay, and I made that clear when I wrote it. If it did not happen, I apologize for relaying that it did. As far as the article, I did not know the writer was anti-PSU, but the video didn't show what he did with the hats, at least as far as I could watch, until it got frustrating. It doesn't really matter, I just thought it was classless, based on the article I read. If he did it in good taste, then good for him. So in short, I am sorry Truff, I read an article, and posted it (and that article was in multiple newspapers, so I think a lot of people may be thinking the same thing about the kid, which is too bad, if it is untrue). Just an aside, I would find it (the supposed actions) to be just as classless if it was a ND commit.
  21. link On top of this, Tayler, Mybrick, and Logan-Els parents were reported to have been yelling F-Maryland after he announced. (no link, so if its not true, please let me know. I saw it posted on a couple different message boards, so I apologize if it is wrong) Penn State fans, were he not committing to PSU, would you be saying this is a classless act by this kid, the way he announced and all?
  22. Reminds me of when Holtz said "the University of UCLA."
  23. I'll take 10 out of the top 100 (6 in top 50) for year 1 of Weis recruiting :) They have 6 out of the Rivals top 100 and 6 out of the Scout top 100... I think those are both more credible sources, since Lemming is known to be a Notre Dame fan, which skews his rankings. Also, it is now official... 4 star QB and top 10 QB (nationally) Pat Devlin has decommitted from Miami and will be attending PSU. Huge pickup late in the game... next up is one of the top OL prospects, Antonio Logan-El, announcing today, followed by a mammoth DL, Phillip Taylor. I think PSU could use Logan-El more, but he's probably about a 60% shot to go to Maryland. Taylor, according to many, has already verballed to PSU, so I'd put him at about 90% to PSU over Maryland. Rivals.com is just as bad as Lemming, IMO, but not for scewing based on ND. They scew based on upholding their own rankings. Either way, all these rankings really don't mean a thing. The rankings should be made three years from now.
  24. Lemmings top 100, although his opinion doesn't count for much (at least IMO)
  25. Who are the others? Houston and... New York and Boston? I thought he said no to Boston. May have heard incorrectly, however.
