    We have a hard enough time paying for the Colts and Pacers. As much as I would love to have a MLB team here, I don't see how it could work.

    I just hope Clausen can do something to make the game close. Unlikely though with the O line being non existent.

    Can I get a quick recap of what happened? I quit watching after the top of the 8th, and the game threads take way to long to read.

    Gates open 2 hours before the game starts. Get to the park early, hang out at Murphy's or somewhere that you can see the line, and you should be able to tell when to hop in. For the Cards game a few Saturdays ago, I was in line about 45 mins before the gates opened, the line was already starting to wrap around Wrigley, but we had great seats. Other times there have hardly been lines at all and I have gone in after the gates opened, and still been able to get great seats. There really is no set time, IMO. Just make sure you are there a little before the gates open in case the line is getting long. There is a ton of fun to be had while waiting if there is no line.

    I have heard the same thing. From what I hear, Calvin and Russel both wanted 15% more than Williams got last year, and Quinn would take a lot less, close to what was paid last year for Williams.

    So was I. But I am sure that by tomorrow morning I will be annoyed with how much press it will get. I can only imagine how many times it will be on ESPN.

    I read somewhere that Naron was watching the baserunners and didn't see where the ball went. Once he saw Edwin walking back to the dugout with bat in hand he wondered why he was coming from home plate area so he watched the replay and saw that he didn't leave the box. I think it's something to be upset about as a manager, certainly. That is what made me curious. Is it normal practice for a manager to go watch video in the midst of a game?

    Glad I decided to stay home. I have had a few experiences where I drive to Wrigley, sit in the bleachers for awhile getting rained on, then they call the game. Very frustrating. Now I hope they will honor these tickets on the 12th!

    Lil Wayne has become very good. I used to not take him very seriously -like much of the old Cash Money members - but the more he puts out, the more I like him. He he still no where near Nas though. But really who is? Since it seems most here like Nas, what is your favorite album? Besides the obvious Illmatic, I am a fan of Stillmatic and the Lost Tapes above all others. I also have a Dirty Harry mix called Nasir Jones that I have been listening to a lot.

    I loved that album when it first came out, but the constant mentioning of Dre really started to annoy me after awhile, and now I can't even listen to it.

    IMO it is Nas, hands down. However Lil Wayne is steadily climbing up my list.

    I am torn. I am supposed to go to the game, but don't want to skip class and drive 3 hours each way if it will be cancelled. If I go I am sure they will call the game. However I know if I decide not to go they will play, and I will miss a great game, because that is how it always seems to work out for me.

    I actually felt bad for Hawkins on more than one occasion, for the way he was treated by the fans. However the 'Destroy LaTroy' shirts did make me laugh.

    So what player do you think has been booed the worse? I think the worse I have ever heard was Hawkins, but I only make about 4-5 games a year. Dempster also got it pretty bad during a start against the Reds a few years ago. And IMO the worse is fans who boo and don't know why. Like in the said Dempster start when a friend I went with kept booing and yelling at him, and all he would say when I asked him why he kept acting like an ass was that he sucked. Didn't know why he sucked, just that he did. Thats when I quit going to games with people who don't really care about the game.
