  1. But the Dodgers have $200M committed through 2028, whereas the Cubs only have $27M in 2028. Those are some clean books. We win the clean books trophy!
  2. I don't know anything about the South Carolina coach, but he came across like a whiny moron who was getting played by the other coach the entire game and was unable to adjust. The substitution rules are what they are, and he didn't seem to understand them.
  3. That is true, but it was all happening under the covers and the average person wasn't being bombarded with reminders every 5 minutes. Now it is just another income stream that has to be maximized and all sports broadcasts have been changed accordingly.
  4. What do the Packers have to play for next week? Will the game matter at all for their playoff seeding? Or will the Bears get a meaningless victory to cap off their disaster of a season and end up picking 10th?
  5. The Bears are only #7 because the Jets and Panthers haven't played yet this week. There is a good chance they will be back in the 9 spot by tomorrow night. Unless there is a real top end offensive lineman available at their pick, I wouldn't be opposed to trading down in the first round and maybe picking up another 2nd. They need talent across the board and having 4 picks in the first 2 rounds would definitely be a good start.
  6. Technically we won't, because last year was over the tax and there is no way they are going over the tax this year. But I still think they will spend relatively close to the tax with a bit more wiggle room for a deal or two at the deadline.
  7. I still don't think that is really in question. They are going to spend the money within shouting distance of the luxury tax. We probably just won't like the way they spend it, prioritizing short term deals and trading assets for affordable Major League talent rather than making any significant long term investments.
  8. How many other teams have kickers who could have reasonably attempted that 58 yard game tying field goal rather than going for it on 4th and 10? 25 teams? More than that? How long are we going to stick with the noodle leg who is accurate from short and mid range?
  9. Absolutely. They are terrible as well. With the exception of the first drive where they ran the ball down the field, they did nothing on offense.
  10. I don't even know what the NBA is anymore where teams can score 50 points in a quarter. I have tried watching a few games here and there and just can't do it anymore.
  11. What an embarrassment. 4 quarters of football where neither team was ever close to scoring a touchdown. We are so far from being a competitive team.
  12. I mean, at least he threw the ball up instead of eating the 4th down sack to end the game.
  13. And there goes the INT streak.
  14. Come on, get the field goal. I want another 15 minutes of this.
  15. Teven Jenkins = Rondell White?
  16. What the hell was that?
  17. Blame Caleb all you want for the sacks, there was absolutely nowhere to go with that 3rd down throw. When the defense brings that many guys, how can nobody be open?
  18. This game is hilarious. Both teams are awful.
  19. He is middle of the pack. Not worth a 4th round pick, but also not garbage. If you could find guys like him on the street, there wouldn't be ~15 guys worse than him with NFL jobs.
  20. Caleb should have got to practice earlier.
  21. But he's so good at catching the ball behind the line of scrimmage and getting 2 or 3 yards out of it. You would hate to lose that.
  22. 2 yard pass to the sideline on 2nd and 11?
  23. Viewers outside of Chicago and Seattle must be hanging on every snap. When are the networks going to learn that the Bears in prime time are virtually unwatchable?
  24. I haven't watched many (if any) NFL broadcasts on Prime this year, but the video looks so much nicer than the network simulcast. I may have been doing it wrong all along.
