Their problems scoring go WELL beyond Soriano at this point. He is the number one culprit. You have a leadoff hitter who NEVER and I mean NEVER ignites a rally to start a game. I've been saying that for a while now here, and when he does snap out of it for short periods of time, the results are good. I can't even remember the last time he "snapped out of it", other than a few gap and bloop hits.

Pretty damn good game. Did they finally fix the problems they had with putting on the first two? yes with the new motion controller. (not to hijack the thread too much...wait the game sucks anyway) Does the new controller come with the game, and if so, does it cost more than normal? You can get it bundled with the game for $10 extra. Purchased by itself it is $20.

Since this team apparently won't be hitting Cy Ohlendorf tonight, I'm debating cracking Tiger Woods 10 open for the Wii. As much as I threaten to turn the Cubs off though, it never happens...

So far, he's not even close. Sample size. I agree that he will eventually make some defensive mistakes, but even when he does make an error, what are the chances that it makes the difference in a game? I would say those chances are much smaller than having his bat positively influence an outcome.

Lou didn't sound very convincing in his press conference today, with his non-commitment to play Fox everday. I still don't understand the over the top criticism of his defense. Based on the hesitation to play him anywhere in the field, I was expecting something epically bad, but he has been just fine. Stick him out there every day, be willing to live with a few errors, and be done with it!

I'd say below average. He doesn't seem to read the ball of the bat well and his effort is questionable.He has played way too many singles into doubles and triples. Soriano looks like an above average outfielder on paper, but if you actually watch the games and see the balls that he misplays, I would say he is below average at best. Most of the time his misplays don't result in errors, because he misjudges the ball too badly to get into position to catch it.
