  1. Yep, THAT's what's annoying. I don't know why, but this made me think of:
  2. I blame Boers & Bernstein and their anti-Cubs agenda!
  3. Does anyone know what the Cubs' conversion % is for saves? I would assume they must be last in MLB.
  4. Who would have thought this year could be worse than last year?
  5. According to weather.com, there is a 90% chance of rain at 1:00 with the chances decreasing gradually down to 30% at 4:00. I know they really want to get this game in, but even if the weather clears up somewhere around 4:00, I can't imagine the field being in a playable condition.
  6. Both teams off May 9, Texas in Milwaukee the series before. It'll be then. But would they play a day/night doubleheader on 5/9 with both teams having to travel to play the next day? Or would they play an old-fashioned back-to-back doubleheader? Or would they play 1 game on 5/6 and another on 5/9, avoiding the doubleheader altogether but forcing the Cubs to play games on 27 consecutive days. Not many good options there.
  7. It will be interesting to see how they plan to make up tonight's, and presumably tomorrow's, games.
  8. Is it really that difficult to close a damn game!
  9. It opens up a spot for Barney, which means we get to keep Lillibridge. Hooray!
  10. Is the game still over if he doesn't leave the box?
  11. That is hard to do when the guys getting on base are in the middle of the order and the guys hitting with RISP are the worst bottom of the order in baseball. I'm quite certain that everybody been at fault at one time or another in that department. You aren't ranked last in the MLB or near it because your bottom two guys are always screwing up. In addition, it's not like the middle of our order are gang busters when it comes to OBP. Well, if the bottom of your order never gets on base, that limits the RISP opportunities for the top of the order, so having a pathetic 7-9 can really skew a RISP stat.

  13. Good call, but how did they get Soriano on that?
  14. The Titanic sinking really puts things into perspective for me.
  15. He is in between being in between, but soon he will be in between again.
  16. I have always thought Marmol's problem was being caught in between.
