    What the hell was that "Canadian Connections" graphic all about? I get that Trestman coached in Canada, but that made no sense.

    There has been lots of speculation...but it's not gonna happen while Selig is still in charge. You would think that with the constant interleague now, they'll eventually get to the point where they realize it's ridiculous for one league to have such a large advantage. And they're definitely not taking it away from the AL. How is the DH an advantage for one league over the other? Assuming an equal payroll for two teams, one in the AL and one in the NL, it just means that the teams will appropriate their funds differently. While the AL may have a slight advantage in an AL ballpark, they would probably argue that they are at a slight disadvantage in an NL ballpark since they lose one of their high-priced hitters.

    I couldn't disagree more. With the new CBA, there are more incentives for teams to tank and they will continue to do so unless changes are made to the system. You can't just look at draft position. A team's record also impacts their amateur draft budget, international draft budget, and protected pick status for Type A free agents.

    Enough with these meaningless late game rallies... I'm rooting for the Pirates to catch the Cardinals and the Cubs to improve their draft position, so I have never wanted the Cubs to lose more than I do now.

    It is going to be a fight to the finish between the Cubs and Twins for the #4 pick. Seeing how the Twins have been playing lately, they are going to be tough to beat for that spot.

    Dave Martinez doesn't seem to be as "hot" a candidate as he was a few years ago. Is there any reason why his name hasn't been mentioned as much recently for managerial vacancies?

    FOX appears to have resolved their technical difficulties for the time being. Meanwhile, the Cubs offense has not.

    They are ending their marketing partnership, but that doesn't mean they won't still sell Old Style at the ballpark. 312 is a decent enough beer, but I would really miss Old Style if they don't offer it anymore. I sure as hell won't be drinking Bud or Bud Light.

    If you bought pearl jam tickets through the season ticker holder presale, the fine print said that tickets purchased through the presale could not be resold and you would risk action against your account if caught selling them. Maybe they don't strictly enforce that policy, but i wasn't willing to take the risk.

    Not cool, but I guess this reinforces the Theo/Jed "draft a position player at the top of the draft" strategy.
