  1. Wood will go #2 So I guess that means EJax 3rd, Hammel 4th, and ?? 5th (assuming Arrieta can't get enough work in to be ready) Rusin? Villanueva? McDonald? My vote would be Hendricks, but I doubt that will happen.
  2. If the Cubs believe that Olt is "fixed" and is a potential long term Major League player, is there any chance they send him back to AAA for a few months so he doesn't accumulate the service time? He would only need to stay down a few more weeks than Baez. With his age and the organizational depth at 3B, I don't expect they would send him to AAA if they believe he is ready, but I wouldn't put it past this front office to want to buy themselves another year. He's got 63 days of service time already. You'd have to hold him down half the year. My calculations were apparently a bit off.

  4. On any given day, this is a safe assumption.
  5. I can seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
  6. Baez HR, deep to LF.
  7. Is there an argument to be made for anyone outside of Thibs to win coach of the year?
  8. I wonder what song they were dancing to.
  9. I was there last summer (not by my choice) and I certainly wouldn't shed a tear to see them gone. Worst money ever spent.
  10. Was this trade ever resolved? Did the Cubs receive anything at all?
  11. It's on from 2-4 am on NBCSN tonight. On DirecTV there's a feature on NBCSN that let's you look at upcoming events and medals counts. Kind of cool. Thanks. DVR set!
  12. Has anyone found curling on TV yet?
  13. It was reported on the Score that there is a 2nd year option. Has anyone heard confirmation on that?
  14. Mmm, bison... Wait, what was this thread about?
  15. I am extremely paranoid that this "Cubs are the lead team" talk is all to use the Cubs offer as leverage to get one of the west coast teams to up the ante. I hope my paranoia is unjustified.
  16. That is awesome. I can't believe I never knew about the Todd Zeile card with a Zack Morris phone.
  17. Agreed. I just can't shake the feeling that the Cubs aren't going to get anything close to the new "market value" and I really don't want to wait until 2020 for significant added revenue.
  18. Wouldn't that also have implications for them beyond next season?
  19. Yes, how did I forget that mediocre piece of [expletive]. Calling him mediocre is the biggest compliment anyone has given Podlesh all year.
  20. You could also say that the gift of the personal foul penalty on Rodgers took away the Bears' chance to tie with a field goal at the end. win with a FG you mean They would have been down 3 with the Packers kicking the extra point instead of going for two, but a lot of hypotheticals in there. Good point, i usually catch that. Wait, no, I think you were right the first time. Too hard to do Math after that one.

  23. Big drops by Jeffery and Marshall, that's not on Cutler.
  24. One more short pass, call the timeout, then heave a couple into the end zone.
