  1. This bullpen is awful Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  2. If the season gets shut down after only a few days or weeks, that is going to be so depressing. I was pessimistic about the chances of making it through a season, but having baseball taken away again so quickly after a glimpse of semi-normalcy would be a punch in the gut. 3. Looking over the standings... After 3 games, every team has at least 1 win and 1 loss. I'm too lazy to do the research, but I wonder how often that has happened. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  4. There is no position in the order that is low enough for him. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  5. Len looking sharp today! Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  6. Javy has not looked good so far. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  7. Would Maddon have pulled Kyle in the 8th? Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  8. I love Bill Murray, but what was that? Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  9. switch to marquee and you can treat yourself to dempster in the booth! It seems like Dempster had toned it down a bit lately. He is tolerable right now. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  10. It's already too late. I guarantee they will change it to that stupid thing, just like they'll add that absurd runner-on-2nd rule. The runner on second better be temporary too. I know it is weird, but one of my absolute favorite things about baseball is that a game can theoretically last forever. I have loved long extra inning games ever since I was a kid, and whenever I go to a game I am usually quietly hoping for a 15 inning marathon. Not only that, but there is something about lying in bed at 2am with the Cubs still playing long after everyone else has finished. I know I'm rambling, but this is one rule change that I just can't accept. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  11. Add to that, Jed on ESPN1000 just now: Certainly not "everyone" will be able to watch games on Marquee. Even if they make a last minute deal with YouTube, that still leaves Dish subscribers out. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  12. Benetti is really good. White Sox games are easily tolerable now. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  13. The fake background noise is distracting. They need to turn it down. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  14. 15 home games by April 25... Ugh.
  15. I haven't checked for Marquee on my Nvidia Shield, but not all Android apps are available on the Shield. I have run into that before with other apps, where I can use them on my Android phone, but can't download them on the Shield.
  16. Apparently the 2020 proposals include modified extra innings, using the minor league rule where a runner starts on second. Just throw in the towel and cancel the season. Or forego a traditional season altogether, play an exhibition schedule, and then have one big round robin tournament leading to the expanded playoffs. This is going to be a mockery of a season anyway, so let's not even call it a season. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  17. But will we, really? If the Cubs win the World Series in a drastically-shortened season, and do it with no fans in the stands, will that feel at all special? I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around appreciating such an accomplishment.
  18. They will get there... Next week, after the counters of 64, 68, 65, and 67 respectively.
  19. I don't like where any of this is going. I am resigned to the fact that the DH is coming, even though I still don't like it. But a permanent 16 team playoff is horrible. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  20. I e-mailed them a few weeks ago for a refund and received a response within minutes and the refund a few days later. I don't want a full refund, I just don't want to pay for a full season when we're getting half a season I'm in the same boat. I haven't contacted them, since I still want the subscription, but I'm hoping they are just going to automatically issue pro-rated refunds once an agreement is in place.
  21. The way things are going, I'm looking less and less likely to renew my season tickets next year. Maybe the owners don't care, but I'm going to have a hard time justifying continuing to give them so much of my money year after year. It is incredibly short-sighted for them to be squabbling over pro-rated salaries at the expense of both the fans and players. And if they can't negotiate this now, it is almost certain that another (potentially long) work stoppage is coming after the 2021 season.
  22. I'm putting him second behind Davis for now, Davis isn't a hard one either, but expect he'll be behind Hoerner, Davis, Amaya, and maybe Hernandez What about Marquez? Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  23. The documentary is not at all what I expected. Obviously it was going to be largely focused on Jordan, but I thought it was going to show a lot more of the last run. It has been awesome nonetheless, but I feel like all the talk of unprecedented access and video footage from the last season was overselling that part of the show. It has been the Jordan story, with some 97-98 clips sprinkled in. There is nothing at all wrong with that though.
  24. I wasn't going to take it, but I went back and read through the FAQ and it says that you can still change your mind and request your money back later, but you will just lose the 5%. So unless you need the cash immediately, I guess it is better to take the credit now and re-evaluate at the end of the year.
