  1. My thoughts exactly...The first head rolls for a failed season which seemed promising. I look for a few others to also drop before the end of this season. I am guessing that the Dodgers and Jim Tracy could part ways soon. Felipe Alou may take the heat for a failed season in San Fran, although without Bonds in the lineup, this season is probably just scrapped all around. And of course, I believe that if the Cubs continue to play heartless ball and slide much in the standings that Dusty will be de-throned here in Chi-Town. Here's hoping atleast! Not gonna happen. The Trib's not going to eat another big contract. Too damn cheap.
  2. Johnny Damon would be a waste of money. So would Brian Giles. Typical Cub luck, money to spend in a year when there are zero quality free agents.
  3. Maybe if we drop into 4th like the Orioles, the management will get a clue and fire the manager. Never gonna happen. The Trib's too damn cheap to eat a contract. The best we can hope for is that Baker gets busted with a trunk load of weed and tossed in jail.
  4. Actually this team is very consistent. It's hovered around .500 for the majority of the season. They've been no more than what? Six games over and no worse than five under all year I think. That's consistent. Mediocre, but consistent. The fans need to let them have it when they get home. I mean seriously let them have it. They deserve it. Especially Dusty. But then it'll hurt thier feelings and they'll all run away crying. Good. Gutless clowns. And Dusty's the ringleader.
  5. HUH!?!?!?!?!?! Don't want my hatred for The Village Idiot to get me banned again.

  7. Which is right about where this disgraceful bunch belongs. Darn you Dusty. You've sucked all the joy out of watching this ballclub. I hope you're selling real estate back in San Francisco in a few weeks. Good freakin' riddance.
  8. Why are you surprised? This is a pathetic excuse for a team.
  9. Anybody know when pitchers and catchers report to Mesa?
  10. The Cubs touched up Wagner once in awhile when he was with Houston.
  11. At least he's better than Alfonseca. Yes, I can't believe that's the only positive I can think of right now. But Antonio has more fingers...
  12. Tough call on that one. I wouldn't fault Baker for using either guy.
  13. Dusty's an idiot. It's the sixth inning and he lets Wuertz hit? I don't care if they're down a guy or not. How many freaking pinch hitters are they going to need today anyway? Wuertz gives up at least two runs this inning, guaranteed.
  14. Wuertz and Rusch in the pen. Sergio must be on his way to Des Moines already...
  15. His body has been possessed by the spirit of Shawn Estes. An exorcism will be performed after the game.
  16. 5-4 now, ARam gunned down at second. One out, nobody on.
  17. he was getting to face cub pitching though Great point.
  18. Their manager's available now. Wouldn't even have to trade for him.
  19. How long til the "Prior must be hurt" threads start?
  20. Too bad Peter Angelos doesn't own the Cubs. Lee Mazzili got fired today.
  21. I'm not sure they've got enough heart to stick up for each other.
