  1. Yeah, but now the Twins are holding onto Justin Jones, who is looking healthy by the way...
  2. He's reminding me more and more of Roger Cedeno everyday. At least Corey wasn't so dramatically overpaid...
  3. Let's go Jacquestrap!
  4. .286/.412./.514 That's JD Drew's line from last year... even accounting for his 0-25 slump to start the season. There's still hope for JJ, even if he is no JD.
  5. At least Z is leading off next inning. He should give Lee somebody to bat in.
  6. Ya know, watching Lee steal made me wonder about JJ's true level of speed. Ron Gardenhire never liked sending people unless he really had to. So then I got to thinking what Jones might be capable of stealing with Dusty trying to run this team to the postseason. I came up with an estimated zero steals. He'd have to be getting on base first.
  7. Wow, Aramis tried to headbutt that pitch.
  8. I didn't know anybody actually uses that...
  9. Sorry, trying to fill out job applications. Aramis must be cold.
  10. That's the way, uh huh uh huh, I like it, uh huh uh huh.
  11. That scared the hell outta me.
  12. Wow... Looks like our 2B can't hit Carp at all. If Baker really feels the need to put Neifury in the game, this would be the one to do it in, provided he slot in the #8 hole.
  13. I don't like to think about trading pitchers to the Braves. By the way, whatever happened to Andy Pratt?
  14. I don't know. Brazoban kinda choked last year in the closer's role, and Baez isn't exactly a top-tier pitcher. I was under the impression he wasn't supposed to be the backup closer so much as he was supposed to be a full-time setup man.
  15. Just a thought here, but with the recent injury to Gagne, the Dodgers are short one darn good reliever, possibly for the rest of the season. Williamson would seem to be a perfect fit over there. What would it take for you to let the Dodgers pry Williamson away?
  16. I like sitting here watching this game, but I'd almost rather miss the next inning on the drive to the weightroom where I can rip on the Cards fans that inhabit the place.
  17. That's a nice way for Jones to break the .000 OPS.
  18. I hope Maddux gets that pitch the rest of the game.
  19. Neifi'll be starting tomorrow...
  20. Well at least Ronny is doing a good job saving his playing time from Neifury!
  21. I've only got the one bench slot, and Giles is sitting in it. And it's pretty necessary for me to that bench spot going towards outfield use, because I've got Barry Bonds in left field. I'm gonna definately be needing that space to cover for his numerous days off.
  22. I'm in a Yahoo league right now where the stats are R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, and OBP. Don't ask me why that's what they are, but that's it. Right now I've got Miguel Cabrera manning the hot corner for me, but with his multi-positional eligibility I could stick him in the OF. And as it just so happens Zimmerman is hiding at the bottom of the waiver wire. Don't get me wrong, I love Brian Giles. But his doubles power in PETCO isn't going to show up very well. So I guess what I'm wondering is if Zimmerman's limited playing time in the ML so far is still a relatively good approximation of his actual level of play through an entire season. Thoughts?
