  1. Yeah, it's gonna be. If the game is being shown on a national network (and I believe it's on ESPN), then MLB.TV wont show it.
  2. And then ARod strikes out in his first at bat with 2 on. Heh. Nice.
  3. Joe Morgan's plan backfires... but it's only because the rulebook is wrong.
  4. If you don't know how, please remove it. I meant to ask. Can I get away with the nudity in mine? lol - I'm personally disgusted by your avatar, but I think they'd allow it on a family tv show. :) FWIW, I'm disgusted as well. Just be happy I couldn't find a good animated .gif of the Chris Farley chippendales skit. That's what I was looking for when I found this.

  6. excellent avatar I thought of all people you might enjoy it the most. If you want to steal it I could find something else?
  7. LaRussa is a genius. How did Jose Macias and Neifi Perez make major league teams? I think I wrote the answer to that one at the bottom of a bottle of scotch. I better get to work on finding it.
  8. Wow, you can see the delay for "live" broadcasts by watching the tv in the background.
  9. Can you shrink your avatar a bit? Thanks. Can you shrink your face? :-s  Thank you. I was worrying nobody would find that funny. The delivery of it is a bit hard to pull off on the internet.

  11. Am I the only one who has to whistle along to that song everytime I hear it?
  12. of course not. how could a future hall of fame manager know more about baseball than a couple of guys on a message board? You do realize LaRussa pioneered the idea of the 9th inning closer, which both common sense and statistics show is a horrible idea? He's not as smart as he's cracked up to be. yeah, eck was a disaster as a closer. It's not that players can't perform in that role, it's that the concept pays no attention to leverage. Honestly, would you rather have your best reliever come into a tie game in the 7th with the bases juiced and no outs, or sit on the bench and wait until you might have a lead in the 9th? Eck was not as valuable as his performance dictated he could have been. LaRussa shouldn't be praised for not knowing how to deploy his resources in the most beneficial manner.

  14. He would have tried to suck the stitching off the ball?
  15. If Molina had gotten a hit there, would that make LaRussa smarter than us?
  16. I guess batting Molina fifth is about to come up in a big way.
  17. If only we could have retained Juan Pierre...
  18. Eckstein hustled that ball all the way into left field. Beltran just freaking gunned Eckstein.
  19. The only '100' LaRussa is thinking about is which 100 proof alcohol he's going to drink after the game. Probably whatever is under the passenger seat.
  20. They reached in and plucked it out of his glove. Damned lights..... ya gotta watch 'em like a hawk !! I tried that once. Everything looked quite odd after I finally took my eyes off em.
