    Would somebody be so kind as to explain to me why people call the Cubs the Cobs? It doesn't seem like an insult... at least not a good one. So I just don't get it.

    Thank god, the damn cable company just switched the local access over to the game. I was getting real tired of breaking the law to see the video and listening to my radio that gets crappy reception.

    Walking Izzy to get to Z? I love the fact they just did that. Even if Z gets out, it brings up the top of the lineup for next inning.

Perhaps it's good luck? :-k That was the implication. Can't hurt to try. Rob's hand got stuck on his crotch a while back because he was scratching the second the Cubs score a run. It's all about dedication. I'm not putting my hand on Rob's crotch. :shock: It's affordable. Cubs fans get a discount.

    Stupid freaking cable company isn't showing the ballgame on CSN+... there've got some lame local talk show on. I called em up and they said that they only show some of the games on CSN+. I bought the freaking apartment because it had the right cable setup.

    Did LoDuca throw it to second on ball four or something? He actually threw it in RCF. The next pitch was ball 4 Ahh, okay. Gameday didn't show anything about the steal until Soriano walked.

    On the plus side of things, I had the foresight to buy cigarettes and beer before the game. They are coming in quite handy.

    It doesn't matter if it's the Mets, Phils, Nats, Pitt. Our bullpen Sox! The bullpen is fine. Looking at our numbers against the rest of the league we're average or above average in most stats. The problem is Lou using the wrong guys in the wrong situations.

    This is another example of how conventional bullpen roles kill teams. That was obviously a huge situation for the Cubs, but instead of bringing in Wuertz, we're holding on to him to set up if we have the lead later. Is it really that hard for managers to figure it out?
