  1. I think Durant could top that next season. As a 19 year old. Deng's best years will be in the 23 and 7 range. Durant's will be in the 33 and 9 range. Deng is a very good role player, but he isn't a game changer that necessitates a double team. Durant can be that guy who does everything Deng does, but better in addition to driving the lane and drawing 10-15 ft's a game.
  2. I don't there is any way you can pass up Durant. None. Deng will always be limited by his ball handling. Durant could be the next McGrady only with a healthy back.
  3. This is a joke right? Kevin Durant could outplay Luol Deng right now. Let alone in two years when he is a legit 30 point a night guy who can actually break his man down on the dribble.
  4. His name at Gateway is... wait for it... TheoSqua

  6. Duncan is a very good pitching coach, but Wells has always had good enough stuff to be good. If he continues his play, it will have more to do with being healthy and getting run support than some magic Duncan dust. Not saying Duncan doesn't play a part; just saying it will probably be overstated. However, if my sig continues as is, I will kiss Dave Duncan's ass for the rest of his career.
  7. Yeah. He has gotten torched in all three of his ML starts. He had a really good spring and was kind of whining when he didn't make the team. I'd personally much rather see Blake Hawksworth, but I guess they don't think he is ready. Update from the post game show: Mild arthirits and mild impingement in elbow. No evidence of acute ligament injury. Placed on 15 day DL retroactive to April 2nd. Heck yes.
  8. The Seattle Shehawks select, LaMarr Woodley, DE, Michigan. After losing Grant Wistrom, Seattle needs the pass rush. Denver GM Jazz is on the clock.
  9. Add in Molina and you've got yourself a Mount Rushmore of offensive suck.
  10. No you're fine. It's not like you're celebrating it. Early speculation says bone spurs; out 4-6 weeks. Blake Hawksworth will be getting the start tues. What's the reaction over at GWRB? No one is walking off cliffs yet. Wells and Wainwright have looked good enough that it isn't the apocalypse that it should be and we are all honestly really content because of the world series. If we hadn't won last year, people would be slitting wrists right now.

  12. Sounds like bursitis? Maybe? I don't know. It sucks.
  13. I didn't get worked up. I just thought his post was dumb. I didn't say he was dumb. I don't know him so I would not be in a position to say such. He doesn't care for me so when it is my argument, yes.
  14. Argentinian soccer players, but it applies to Ginobili.
  15. Hooooly crap. That is insane. Almost as good as Liriano, Bonser and Nathan for Pierzynski. Or Zambrano for Kazmir.
  16. Ok. I stated it as fact because I believe it is true. We'll see if I'm wrong or not. Prior's going to come back to 2003 form and the Cubs will have the best rotation. I think. Well, I hope, anyway. ;) After the Rick Ankiel saga, I hope for all of your sakes and Prior's that whatever the outcome, it happens soon and doesn't drag on for 5 years.
  17. brb, buying Reds tickets.
  18. Yeah, the only reason I heard about it was ESPNNews submitted Wynalda's apology. I agree, I'm just saying it comes off lame on a blog.
  19. Ok. I stated it as fact because I believe it is true. We'll see if I'm wrong or not.
  20. Yes I can. I can assume wrong if they aren't that good. Much like I assume the Cubs have the best offense in the Central. I could be right, I could be wrong. I'm going to have an opinion either way.
  21. I always liked him, just sometimes a little annoying as a commentator. I always figured he would say something like this about Mexico first. What an idiot. Nothing screams tool more than saying you can kick someone's ass on a blog. People need to realize that when people attack Rome, he just ends up being more beloved by his fans while the attacker looks like a jackass. Plus this just confirms Rome's stereotype that soccer players/fans are hoodlums and embarassments. PS, I love Wynalda, but this was dumb.
  22. I'm happy for you, Jake. Even if something bad happens and they finish in the cellar again, they appear to be a team on the rise.
  23. Contingent on Carpenter's elbow being better now and him not suffering an injury, the Cardinals rotation will be far from makeshift. They have the second best rotation in the division contingent on Sheets being healthy.
