    I honestly don't think J.Williams is going anywhere. Most likely he's gonna end up being the swingman just like Rusch was the last 2 years. Williams is our insurance just in case Wood goes down again or Rusch doesnt pan out as a 5th starter.

We have gone down to the depths of not knowing who anyone really is. How do we know that everyone on this earth is not just multiple personalities of a single person and that everyone we see is just a figment of that person's imagination? SCARY really if you think about it...

    As fortune would have it, my parents moved us to Logansport, IN (about 4 hours south of Chicago) in the midst of the 1984 season and after seeing Ryno and Co., I was hooked for life.

    I believe Macias contract is tied to Dusty's and Hendry's so who knows?

    Obviously if Murton can be a successful everyday player then it will more than make up for Nomar being a bust in Cubbie Blue.

    payroll i dont think has been an issue for me against the Trib. the past few years they have shown that they are willing to spend for this team. what irks me is that i still don't see a good plan in place to make this a team that will win consistently year in year out. the first step is saying goodbye to a manager who doesnt have a clue, let alone a plan of action.

    It's nice that we can all still voice our opinions like this, but the fact is if the powers that be don't want it, there aint nuthin we can do about it. we can still enjoy looking at those pics and talking about them in any way we want; it just wont be on this board.

    It just goes to show that the Sox came into the series with a game plan and executed it well even if it was against their nature to do so. Under Dusty, it's always every man for himself.

    why not? he's only brought them to playoffs two years in a row. one year is not nearly enough of a reward.

    If this guy actually outbid the Trib in '81 then there mustve been some other intangible reason for them not to sell the Cubs to him. I wonder what it was...

    Good point....Good teams almost always take advantage of extra outs. I suppose you could turn that around and say they became a good team because they did well with all the extra outs.

    Cmon, if Maddux can hit one this year, than so can Podsednik. Of course only Scotty did it in the post-season but it still shows up in the record books somehow.
