  1. Any pitcher who throws against Macias and Wilson automatically becomes an excellent pitcher.
  2. Fact of the Thread: There are more posts on this forum than there are votes for Derrek Lee.
  3. CMON people! We're only 300,000+ votes behind.
  4. I think Maddux has enough of the gentleman in him to call it quits after this season if it's clear that he can't get hitters out anymore.
  5. Sorry to rain on your parade, but at this point in the season, Derrek Lee is baseball's best hitter.
  6. This has got to be an all-time low in the history of Major League managing.
  7. You can't say this is second guessing, cos right before that move was made I had already thought of pulling Burnitz in a double switch but replacing him with Corey to play CF and sliding Hairston over to RF, but that was too much to hope for since Dusty has never been that creative.
  8. Once again his Dustiness uses Remlinger against lefties when everyone in the world including a couple of tribes in Africa, Northern Mongolia, and Indonesia who have never made contact with modern man know that Remlinger has reverse splits.
  9. There was this great line in one of the episodes of Lost where someone says: Seriously, I think Dusty needs to go to some deserted island and try to figure out what it takes to lead a team to a championship, cos he aint doing it.
  10. Putting him on the DL ready to come off for Apr. 12 is actually a good move. It would allow the Cubs to put 11 active pitchers on the roster and freeing up one extra spot for the bench.
  11. I suggest we move this thread to rivalries cos it seems that injuries will be our enemy again this year.
  12. Let's not go down that path again. We already went through it with Prior last year.
  13. When Wood makes his next start, that's when I'll know that he's really OK.
