    He may never get it? Why aren't the coaches who supposedly fixed his mechanics getting any blame? Realistically, at this stage of Kerry's career, can coaches still make changes to his delivery that Wood will actually keep?

    Not a bad proposal, vance. That would be like having Woody still on a starters schedule (start-rest-side session-rest-etc.) except that his "starts" would only last a maximum of 3 innings. I like it.

    According to DustyBall, Gerut has not yet attained the rank of "Established Veterean". Another 5 years of mediocre performance and sky's the limit for Gerut playing under Dusty.

    Uhh, when Grudz came back from his injury last year how much PT did Todd Walker get? Neifi should get less than that.

    Even if Kerry has his frayed labrum surgically repaired, if he maintains the same delivery won't it just become frayed again? Isn't it logical that the labrum was frayed because of the repeated motion of his delivery? I guess a proper analogy would be is if you had a piece of rope resting against the corner of a building and you kept pulling that rope back and forth eventually you will fray the rope and if you repeat the process long enough it will tear completely. Let's equate surgery to replacing the rope with a brand new one. If you take that new rope and still apply the same exact motion as before, aren't you going to fray that new rope too and eventually tear it apart?

    Derrek better watch out cos Aram has made up a ton of ground on him this month. Seems like anyone that Lee leaves on base, Aram just gobbles up.

    Musta been something else. Washington doesn't need a 2B or an OF since they just acquired Preston Wilson. I don't see how Junior would fit on their team.

    It's possible that Blanco has had an effect on Barrett's throwing. I wouldn't be surprised if Hank gave Michael a few tips.

    The Cards definitely will be needing Rolen in the playoffs so for his long term health I suggest that LaRussa rest him everytime they play the Cubs.

    Yet another example of Baker as a member of the "Ol'e Boys Club" blindly following traditional baseball thinking and not using common sense or numbers. Ramirez hits righties and lefties well while Burnitz does not even come close to Aram whether it's against lefties or righties. There is absolutely no INTELLIGENT reason why Burnitz should be batting ahead of Ramirez.

    the cortisone shot may help to remove the inflammation and whatever pain quickly, but until what causes the inflammation is removed (the flaw in Kerry's delivery) this injury will just continue to recur.
