  1. I love the Reds' home jersey. I almost want to be a Reds fan just so I can buy one.
  2. 63.56/ .980/ 97%. Compare this to his career averages which are 59.77/ .965/ 96%. Age isn't slowing this baseball player (http://www.firejoemorgan.com/2007/04/baseball-players.html) down. Not just in broadcast either. Bruce Levin, Harry Tinewitz(?). I was listening to the White Sox weekly show Saturday on the Score and their guy and some beat writer were saying how important he has been to the team so far. This is when I got home and looked up his numbers and started laughing. Holy Crap does Darin Erstad have White Sox fans and supporters fooled. Darin Erstad is a master magician. He has tricked so many people into thinking that he is a good baseball player over the last sixish years.
  3. Jeff Conine might possibly be the most boring human being on the face of the earth.
  4. With this post, you are the Pat to my Ron.
  5. Where did the ejection pool thread go?
  6. 7 AT BATS!
  7. If you don't want Soriano in the top 2 spots, wouldn't this make more sense? Murton Barrett/Derosa Soriano Lee Ramirez Jones Derosa/Barrett Izturis Don't you want Soriano's speed in front of Lee, Ramirez and Jones? No, If I was in charge steals would be quite rare. I want Lee and Ramirez, the two best hitters getting on base in front of Soriano's extra base hits. I might even do something like this: Murton Lee Ramirez Soriano Jones Barrett DeRosa Izturis
  8. How about putting Soriano where he belongs? Murton Barrett/DeRosa Lee Ramirez Soriano Jones DeRosa Barrett Izturis
  9. Come on now. Santana has obliterated the league for three years running. You think that the torch is passed after two starts? As great as he is, he's got a long way to go. Consistency is everything. And don't get me wrong: I recognize this kid's potential... but... Also: he will have the arm troubles of Kerry Wood if they continue to tax his 21-year-old arm with 100 pitches every fifth day... I agree with you KyHen. When Felix Hernandez can win multiple Cy Young Awards (which he does have the ability to do) like Santana (and I presume Santana will win it again this yr) nobody can make a case of Felix Hernandez passing Johan Santana. NOBODY. Now if people are talking about Hernandez passing Erwin Santana (who's is nice young stud in the making) I could agree with that statement, but Johan....NOPE...Felix HAS A LONG WAYS TO GO before he surpasses Johan. And from a fantasy standpoint: Who would you rather pick in the first rd of the draft; Johan Santana or Felix Hernandez? Hernandez was always ahead of Ervin Santana.
  10. Made me think of this Warning: it has a lot of bad words. awesome! I still know all the words to that song. One of the greats fo' sho'
  11. Anyone excited for Daisuke v. King Felix?
  12. I voted for Lil' Wayne because "Bling Bling" is my favorite rap song ever.
  13. I went to a game last year in the bleachers towards the end of the season (August 2 maybe?) and sat through some of the hardest rain I have ever seen. I literally could not see the grandstand. I got absolutely soaked, wasted a bunch of money on beer, lost a full pack of cigarettes to wetness and didn't even get to see a game. Also soaking wet does not make for a fun trip home. I was at that game as well, and it was 8/2. I gladly stood out in the bleachers and soaked in every bit of that rain. Ironically, I had as much fun at that non-game as I had at the game two days earlier when Arizona killed us. We should have hung out! I definitely sat through it like any man would do. And it was really fun in spite of the downpour. Me and my friends were flirting/goofing around with a girl whose pants were so soaked that well.... not much was left to the imagination.

  15. I find this hilarious. Would you rather have Tyrus' and Wallace's combined 11.5/14.5 or Curry's 19 and 7? Not to mention the blocks, steals, and intangibles that Ben and TT bring to the table. We have enough scoring from Loul/BG/Kirk. I am pretty comfortable in saying that we would be a worse team if we had stuck with Eddy.
  16. WCIU. Non-Chicagoans are SOL. just like every other game that isn't on WGN or TNT/ESPN Well, I don't like to brag, but I get Comcast SportsNet here in Muncie. I know my friends in NIU that live in the dorms don't have CSN at all. You should definitely consider yourself lucky. Ugly start for both teams, but the Bulls lead 21-9 with a little under 1 minute in the first. Yeah I remember when I lived in the dorms they didn't have FSC in the dorms so we didn't get the non wgn cubs games. I was not happy. I thought there were petitions and the like, so I figured they would have CSN by now. That sucks for them though, they should make some apartment friends.
  17. What channel tonight?
  18. In my opinion it is worth it for the awesome tailgating. I went to several games last year without tickets and had an absolute blast. The DeVry deal is the epitome of convenient, but you can't do it for weekday games, so that kind of sucks. Sometimes when I don't want to hang around and bar hop after games I will just drive and park in one of the numerous lots in the neighborhood, and if you are with a few people the price isn't really that bad. Also I have parked in Oak Park on a side street near the green line (not sure about the legality of that, but I have never been ticketed) taken the train downtown, hopped on either the brown of the red and that worked out rather well. The bottom line is that getting to the park isn't exactly the easiest thing in the world, but there are plenty of options.
  19. here It is also in places like Borders and Barnes & Noble.
  20. He has looked bad but thanks for pointing this out. I have a problem with Theriot coming in towards the end of ballgames when he is not better in the field than Murton.
  21. To be fair, when the Sizemore trade was made he was putting up a .699 ops in A ball.
  22. He must not have watched the game if he is knocking Tyrus for the ejection.
  23. That was the funniest catch by Jason Michaels that I have ever seen.
