  1. he used to be. he's not anymore -- he's had a significant drop in power since he left atlanta. ~.040 drop in IsoP. Don't get me wrong, that's a lot... but he's still up in the .225 range. It's not like he's suddenly going to be in any danger of becoming Neifi. Besides, he'd do well with in Wrigley. 2003 .271 2004 .244 2005 .221 2006 .175 that's a bit more than .040
  2. he used to be. he's not anymore -- he's had a significant drop in power since he left atlanta. Not really. In two years in Atlanta, he hit 25 then 39 HR's. His first two years in New York, he hit 36 then 34 HR's. total bases from 2003-2005: 2003: 348 2004: 306 2005: 299 don't get me wrong, i'd love to have him, but he's getting pretty old, and his left arm is about to fall off.

  4. though it's probably not right, i've liked kobe even more since the whole rape trial and everything. i hated the lakers when they were so successful, but i really like this current laker team.
  5. It's not the Brewers it's the pitching. We get it. You're anti-Z this year. I'm pro good pitcher. I'm not going to stand up for the guy blindly. What has he done to earn praise? Look at his numbers (not just this game but before hand). His ERA, WHIP, etc. He still has time to make adjustments but there's been little to get excited about. Haha, you can't be serious. can't be serious that zambrano has not been very good this year? i don't see why that's so hard to fathom
  6. no walks this time, ok Zambrano? thanks.
  7. I knew Neifi was bad but not THAT bad! By what measurement is he the 2nd worst of all time? OPB, SLG? looks like i was a bit off. he's only the third worst hitter of all time at the moment. http://www.hardballtimes.com/main/article/the-real-chase/
  8. You know that somebody is going to come out with a bunch of stats trying to prove that you are wrong. I agree with you BTW. So what you're saying is.... People will come out with their side of the evidense, with actual *GASP* proof to back up what they are saying... What a novel concept. he is the second-worst hitter of ALL TIME. if he gets enough playing time this year, he will move into first. what more do you need? no amount of defense makes up for the amount of playing time he's gotten.

  10. His average is up to .275 now, but as someone else mentioned, he only has the one walk and isn't getting a whole lot of extra base hits or anything. that sounds awfully similar to another cf ive seen a lot of this year sample size. alright. corey patterson's OPS in 2004 was a full .100 points higher than juan pierre's OPS in 2005. juan pierre's OBP was 2 points higher.
  11. ESPN had the game where corey hit his first homer for the orioles. orel hershiser said it was a bad thing for a singles hitter to hit a homerun. since when did corey patterson become a singles hitter?
  12. their pitching has been on par with the way it performed last year. http://www.hardballtimes.com/main/article/whats-up-with-the-nl-central/
  13. i would rather watch corey play than watch an older clone of corey play.
  14. they'll crack 50 easily in my opinion. willis alone will have 17-18 wins
  15. wow, UK just swept #7 South Carolina over the weekend. this team is pretty dang good, apparently.
  16. I think Pie and Prior could get either of those right now. let's not get crazy.
  17. I can't wait for Farnsworth to blow a couple games. First off, it will probably lead SportsCenter because it's the Yankees. Second, the New York media will be all over him. Third, I can't wait for Steinbrenner to rip into him. It's only a matter of time, you know it's going to happen. why would you want this? if you say it's because farnsworth is "gutless," well, i don't know what i'll do.
  18. well, somehow, i won the championship. \:D/ \:D/ \:D/
  19. K-Pee? that's really stupid. patterson's only really bad year was '05. his '04 was better than jones' '05. we all know how he started out in '03. I found it quite witty. you would.

  21. me too. while he didn't have a griffey or edmonds-type season at the plate, he put up a very respectable OPS for a center fielder.
