  1. Front row in LF is usually the first to fill. Just keep that in mind,
  2. Sounds like one of Russell and Wright are gone for certain. I think its a pretty close call on Coghlan; Ruggiano and Valbuena likely stay because they are under control next season. Why anyone would want Jackson is beyond me. His FIP is climbing of late. Dark horse candidate - how about Wada? Not a game changer, but has he show enough to fill a spot for a contender? Would it even be worth it?
  3. I'd love to believe my eyes, but they've fooled me before in Rose's case.
  4. Yeah, keeping Ruggiano and Coghlan doesn't tell me we are in it for 15'. I'd rather sell high on at least one of them.
  5. Prob not, but I don't think that's a forgone conclusion.
  6. I was thinking the same thing. Is there a more important position on the field that we care less about? Can anyone name another team's long snapper?
  7. I don't care who he fights on the field. We need that kind of a mean sonuvabitch.
  8. Agreed that - at least at this point - Coghlan, Ruggiano, and Valbuena won't net in a trade what they are worth to us on the field.
  9. well said? I'm surprised re Soler.
  10. Whoever this is is talking out of their ass. Taj makes more than Gasol and they never played Taj Boozer and Noah at the same time this tweet is not an accurate tweet. Yeah, that doesn't make sense. Gibson makes over 8 mill a year, so he's not exactly cheap. If the Bulls aren't serious about Love this isn't the reason. This smacks of the incredibly inaccurate yet enduring "Reinsdorf is cheap" legend.
  11. I have no ability to understand what has happened to Headley. Is it just his back? He's been playing better the last 30 days since he received an epidural.
  12. Pretty sure that's the last time we will see Olt here. Kind of sad about Vitters.
  13. Agreed - Minny is probably planting a lot of bull shite.
  14. I dunno, I think that's a TON of assets we'd be offering in terms of Gibson, Butler AND Miritoc plus two 1st's. Those properties have a ton of value in other deals Minny might make and probably allow you to be fairly competitive while still having multiple lottery picks over the next couple of years. If you get only Wiggins from Cleveland you are leaving virtually room for error; he has to be Jesus in basketball shoes.
  15. Can Gasol play the 5 as a backup? Rose Snell Dunleavy Love Noah Brooks Hinrich McDermott Mirotic Gasol That bench might make the playoffs in the east Seriously, that would be at least as good as anything the Knicks have to offer.
  16. How about Gibson, Miritoc, and two No. 1's (including the Sacramento pick)? Or am I dreaming that we can get this done without including Butler?
  17. Not really. 11th guys suck and should play 0.5 minutes per game, not 20. And what about the offensive vs. defensive win shares?
  18. Don't forget to show your work. I assumed you weren't so lazy that you couldn't sort the PER column over at basketballreference.com.: http://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_2014_advanced.html When you sort the column you will find there were only three players in the entire NBA who played as many minutes as Hinrich (2000-plus) and had worse PER's. His 3.3 defensive win shares over those 2000-plus minutes are actually pretty impressive...until you realize he had 0.4 offensive win shares. Again, there are only a three or four guys who played as much as him and had fewer. This means that he is pretty much worthless offensively and you can double whomever you like when Hinrich is on the floor. EDIT: And I watched him on the floor on D. He uses angles to move guys into traps on the baseline or to one side of the floor, but his one-on-one shutdown D days are over. Hinrich is fine as an 11th guy, but if he plays 20 minutes a game we will be at a severe disadvantage, especially against good defensive teams.
  19. That's all sorts of depressing.
  20. Coghlan / Mueller the Miracle Worker Watch: .275 / .353 / .471 .823 124 OPS+ (175 PA's) And Ruggiano: .287 /.358 /.446 .804 119 OPS+ (176 PA's)
  21. Gar says he was offered picks in the Top 10 in return for Miritoc. Assuming that is true, here is how the back-end of the first round turned out: 1 7 Julius Randle PF United States Los Angeles Lakers Kentucky (Fr.) 1 8 Nik Stauskas SG Canada Sacramento Kings Michigan (So.) 1 9 Noah Vonleh PF United States Charlotte Hornets (from Detroit)9 Indiana (Fr.) 1 10 Elfrid Payton PG United States Philadelphia 76ers (from New Orleans,10 traded to Orlando) Louisiana–Lafayette (Jr.) I wouldn't have been upset if we got Randle for him. That would have given us a ton of flexibility in the free agency and trade markets.
  22. Please expand on your argument that Hinrich still plays good defense. I think he gets by on rep. Prove me wrong.
  23. You're right. Counting stats are better. He shot 39% from the field last year and 42% from 2 pt range. He sucks almost as bad as you ability to understand basketball.
  24. You must have missed my earlier post where I showed his PER's over the last two years. You should also look up his TS% and TOV%. He sucks. No I saw it and you also grossly exaggerated him being not even NBA caliber. He's overpaid and may end up being overplayed but still has a useful NBA life. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Did you know that the average NBA PER is 15? Hinrich is 4.2 points below that each of the last two years. Nazi was only a bit worse. Hinrich sucks.
