  1. Relax. I don't disagree. Just being a smart ass. You didn't expect me not to respond homie http://images.sodahead.com/polls/000298635/polls_snoop_dogg_smoke_3943_607977_answer_1_xlarge.jpeg
  2. Yup. In an "at least it's not likely he'll be a complete disaster with a competent GM" kinda way. I'd be fine with Rex. The players (including Jay) would respect him and our defense would be better. He'd need a strong OC as noted above. Not sure who that could be. NOT Marty M.
  3. Please no My biggest issue with Shanahan (other than he sucked since Elway retired) is that this is a move that caters to Jay. Honestly, there should be no more moves made to make things ideal for Cutler. He's not the future anymore. Best case, he's a good placeholder for 2 years. The new coach should outlast Cutler. Now, whether or not the Bears did enough to cater to Jay is a different story. What about Shanahan as president hiring Kubiak as his head coach? That might be OK, because I think Kubiak can actually coach. Shanny has done nothing without Elway. I'd be fine with Kubiak as HC so long as the player personnel / GM guy is from an organization that actually has a track record of drafting very talented people.
  4. Christ, please not Ballard or Shaw.
  5. Another way to look at it is that Jay's trade value has bottomed. Might as well keep him and (at minimum) try to rehabilitate it.
  6. The only way I'd be happy with Shanny is if he's bringing Rex Ryan with him.
  7. Maybe. A new person may judge the situation dispassionately and see no way out of Cutler's contract unless they are willing to punt next season and perhaps 2016 as well.
  8. Mike Smith relieved of his duties this morning in Atl. Demitrioff appears safe.
  9. LOL. As a Michigan fan I'd be happy with either, but more so Jim.
  10. Unless they have a GM already lined up, and it's a quick hire. ESPN article says they are bringing in a consultant. I'd guess this means Phillips is in trouble as well.
  11. http://img.pandawhale.com/post-34556-joffrey-clapping-gif-Game-of-T-OtFe.gif
  12. My friend is saying PFT is saying Trestman may be safe though. Linked me an article that I can't read. lots of people assuming this is the story. It can't be true. But if it is, laughably stupid. Only way it's possible would be if they're gonna let the new GM/management make that decision? What if the new GM wants a new HC this season? By the time he gets here all the good stuff will be long gone, EDIT: I suppose that could be true either way.
  13. I realize you are being sarcastic, but I dunno. Sounds like he makes bad choices as to who to hang out with. He may need a life coach.
  14. Agreed. That's what would make it so fascinating.
  15. So did they really raid his house?
  16. what Maybe he isn't old enough to remember the late 80's and 90's.
  17. Jesus, I hope they don't do the outside consulting agency thing again. That was really embarrassing.
  18. At least the McCaskeys appear to understand the level of incompetence being exhibited and are apparently embarrassed by the situation...the no-show's at the last home game probably helps as well.
  19. brad biggs says he played well Mark Potash's tweet acting like this is one piece of good news from the Bears. I disagree. This is bad news on several levels.
  20. Was at the game tonight. Rose was filthy at times and very physical. Butler is a beast and seems to do everything right. Joakim definitely slower than usual. Niko is a maestro on offense but isn't a very good defender yet.
  21. He was traded last year....
  22. Not trying to troll you here, but I don't see where the ball itself crosses the plane. I see it in his right arm, but I don't see it on that yellow line or beyond it. I suppose if we made his hand invisible I might; is that what the argument is?
  23. I don't feel refreshed from cringing every time Marshall opens his mouth and have everybody bickering. They are only blunt because the season has gone to hell and the coach is a lame duck. I would prefer boring robots that win more games. Marshall isn't bickering at all. He answers questions in a relatively straight fwd fashion. Its entertaining, which is more than I can say for most of the useless drivel we hear from these guys. I'd also rather they win games and say nothing, but since that isn't an option, at least this is interesting.
  24. That's your takeaway? That Fales needs a start? The guy has an upside of a potential backup. He does not need to start. This isn't September baseball. Giving him a look isn't going to help anything. The Bears have 16 games and Jay Cutler should start every one of them. I'd much rather Jay sit and preserve his health for next season, when the game just might matter again.
