    He's officially done, per ESPN. That said, what frustrates me is that apparent lack of decisiveness. I think it looks stupid and unprofessional in this day and age to leave your coach in limbo for at more than 48 hours. If they had made the decision then they should have just executed on it. What was the upside to waiting until Tuesday? If they hadn't made the decision yet (particularly based on the number of de-commits in the recruiting class) then Hackett is dumb. Now that we know he is gone, let the Harbaugh brothers pursuit commence...

    Why is Michigan waiting so long to "decide" re Hoke? This reeks of incompetence. Is there some financial advantage to officially dismissing him on a Tuesday? What do the pay periods look like UM? Freaking ridiculous. I haven't cared about college football for years because of this isht.

    Briggs was a beast in his prime. He and Urlacher were the best pair of LB's in the League for at least 5 years. The end has been less enjoyable to watch.

    That's how it "feels" to me as well. A 3B with straight WAR's of 8.0 and 7.4 the last two seasons and the only immediate MLB help you got back was....Brett Lawrie? I get that Lawrie is an above average MIF'er right now with the opportunity to be a 4 WAR guy, but I am really surprised Beane couldn't/didn't get more back.

    I'm perplexed by the local media's analysis of the passing game plan yesterday. The Bears' O-Line sucks, especially at RT, G, and arguably C. The Lions have a good D Line, particularly in the middle. So why did they go with short routes the majority of the time yesterday? Gee, I can't imagine...
