  1. Losing Young might ultimately be the most significant thing that has happened this season.
  2. I appreciate how blunt many of our players are. It's refreshing.
  3. In fairness, its hard to detect neurological issues in a human whose face looks like his.
  4. You can hire a defensively minded coach if he gets that he needs an offensive coordinator who knows what he is doing and can make adjustments to his strategy based on his personnel.
  5. Might as well see what Fales has
  6. Harbaugh makes perfect sense for Michigan, much less for the Bears. Bowles on the other hand...
  7. I'm starting to really like Fuller. Jesus, Alshon
  8. LOL Stafford. That's the sort of thing that gets Cutler crucified around here.
  9. Looking for positives so far: - Fuller is doing an admirable job all alone on Johnson - The D Line has a pulse - Clausen looks relatively posied and is making good choices; the play calling isn't doing him any favors and it would be nice if the receivers would drive back to the ball
  10. Jesus, sending a high pick to another team in order to get them to swallow Cutler's contract would be a historically stupid move in a league structured the way the NFL is. It would set the franchise back at least 5 years. Cutler is going to be on the team next season.
  11. Lol and then all the kyles in the world scream about "wow second place again!" Yeah, Kyle you are completely full of isht. You'd be losing your bleeping mind if they passed on Lester because they didn't want to give Ross two years. Not exactly the same, but similar to if the Bulls had passed on Rodman because he came with his nominal shrink, Jack Haley.
  12. I will hurt so many things if they do that. So many things. Better question: would you all spontaneously combust of they dealt Castro to NYM for Wright?
  13. I think this is a sign Schwarber will be up next year His bat certainly could be ready by then.
  14. Meh, lets see what the return on Castillo is. Then we can break out the pitchforks and torches.
  15. There must be something about coaching in the UC that makes one play their vets too many minutes. In fairness, Thibs trusts Mirotoc.
  16. Someone, somewhere is throwing Shanahan 's name around as a potential replacement for Trestman. It was discussed yesterday on Mike & Mike on ESPN. No thanks.
  17. I'm not sure Emery really has a history of getting "cute". He went way outside the box on Trestman, but I'm not sure of where else you can say that. Shea was just buying into a rising stock too much. On Lovie, he is clearly a good NFL head coach. I think he is a coach that is perfectly capable of winning a super bowl with the right team. What ultimately undid him was Angelo's inability to feed young talent through the draft. Agreed. Angelo and Hatley did more of that sort thing than has Emery.
  18. Jesus, give the guy a break.
  19. This is a very good analysis of the situation and Jay's play. SMH at the O-Line and Forte: http://grantland.com/the-triangle/chicago-bears-jay-cutler-scapegoat/
  20. Unless Aaron Rodgers falls into your lap at 21 or whatever. Also, is Russell Wilson a franchise QB? Maybe for Seattle and the type of game they play, but would he be in New England? Would the Pats adjust their game plan to suit his strengths? Maybe what we are learning here is that franchise QB's are made in some significant part through good coaching and schemes that are geared towards their strengths. As an example, is this the reason that RGIII has struggled so badly? Potential sleeper QB prospects (mid-late rounds): Garret Grayson - CO State Shayne Cardon - ECU Taysom Hill - BYU (I like this guy)
  21. Trestman is already done. How do you feel about Jake Locker? Mike Glennon? Ryan Fitzpatrick?
  22. Im guessing with the recent [expletive], Cutler asked out to some extent. Or could be Trestman trying to save his job by showing another QB can get it snd push the blame to Jay (would have Clausen and McCown as evidence). I'm fairly certain this is trestman saying WTF do I have to lose? If he wins a game with jimmy he can blame it all on cutler and enough idiots would buy it to potentially make a difference. This is also why trestman needed to be fired earlier. Letting a lame duck make meaningful decisions is stupid, but also status quo for this organization. Perhaps for his next gig.
