    Their lineup to date is better than the Cubs. I just don't think they are running away with the div., which I loosely define as being 10 games up on Sept. 1. They very well could win it, however.

    Perhaps, but i was only talking about their hitting. Anyone notice anything different about them this season? Considering the org emphasis on OBP and the rather early trade Beane made I think there may be something more here.

    Team's line is .230 / .309 / .349. Worst OPS in the AL, second to last in BA and OBP. No wonder they made the Langerhans deal. (Just for the record, the Cubs: .271 / .327 / .417)

    I wonder if he meant in the context of running the uber-West Coast offense that the Eagles run. That said, I don't know anywhere near enough about Kolb to speak intelligently about him.

    I for one like the Wolfe pick. They didn't draft him to carry the load, thhey drafted him to play special teams, back on kick returns, and handle 3rd down duties. I can live with that.

    uh, I don't think NFL teams have a vendetta against a particular college. that'd be pretty stupid. maybe people just didn't think he was that good, or didn't need a quarterback. Agreed. Andy, its kinda difficult to take you seriously in football threads. You are incredibly biased in your assessments. You once argued that the 06' Panthers - after starting out with a losing record in their first few games - would wind up with a better record than the Bears, and now you are basically asserting that Quinn is the love child of Johnny U and Joe Montana. How can you expect us to take you seriously? Did you not see the LSU game? The Michigan game? Most of his "great" games came against second tier competition. That said, I think Quinn will be a good pro, and perhaps better than Russell. But that doesn't mean he is the G-d you see him as being.

    I've said this before - if you get annoyed by the team's overall lack of patience, look no further then the GM's office. I don't understand why Jim doesn't understand that we need far greater balance in this area. I'd like to see 2 or 3 Lee-types for every Soriano-type.

    Holy cow. Harris and Woodley are both still there. I would love to see either of them in a Bears uni. Woodley especially. A bit undersized, but he is built like a brick ****house and enjoys hitting people.

    they really, really need an offensive line. With a good OL that team's offense would be scary good. True. They have neglected the O Line here.

    Don't be so sure. A lot of guys have dropped further than originally thought. One of them could be there. I hope its Jarrett. We need a hands guy who isn't afraid to go over the middle.
