  1. Ouch. I liked you XZero. Now I hate you.
  2. +1 Worrying about the Brewers at this point is sort of like a person with deep personal flaws being ultra judgmental of others.
  3. Noc, Gordon, Thomas and the No. 9 I think would be the deal. (Hinrich is untradeable b/c of his status as a base year player, I think) Solves a lot of problems for the Lakers. They'd use the No. 9 for a PG and put Gordon at the 2: PG at No.9 Gordon Noc Thomas Bynum 8 seed.
  4. Blast. I knew my love of Wolverines Football would cost me at some point. An understandble distinction for Irish fans, however misguided you all may be.
  5. ummmmm, chocolate milk. Is there anything it can't do?
  6. Slugger gets my vote solely on the basis of the Charelston connection. half my fam is from there and I will be vacationing on Kiawah in two weeks. Sorry sweet - I like you too.
  7. Me too, but what are we talking about giving up here? The Reds desperately need pitching. So Marshall plus what?
  8. Ha. Your ego appears to be as inflated as your post count. I don't really have any feelings about you one way or the other...at least until now. I'd also add in response to your comment that I apparently am not the only one. IMB! lost in a close and interesting contest. You, on the other hand, got your butt handed to you.
  9. How can anyone on this bd possibly vote for a guy from the south side? I like Ryan and would vote for him in almost any other match up. So, for those of you who think this is a tough call, thanks. Win or lose, I take that as a compliment.
  10. Trading Barrett to an AL team seems to make more sense, but what do I know. Which AL teams could use a C/DH? The Halos perhaps?
  11. W'oh, erik. I did not see this coming, buddy.
  12. After some initial misunderstandings, I have come to appreciate The Treebeard Man.
  13. so you voted for IMB!? Like I said, I think the choice was fairly easy. Ask yourself the question and I'm sure you can reach the same conclusion. I'm operating under the assumption that you think IMB! is an unfunny, pompous jackass. What I'm wondering is, are those the qualities you believe the winner of this competition should possess? Ahh, now I see. No, I'm voting against the possessor of those qualities. Hahaha, who the f is this guy? If you want to hate me, cut the bs and just be honest. You hate me because you wish you were me. It's ok, you're probably one of like 15 people from this message board alone. I don't like you, but love your avatar.
  14. I also don't look at vote totals or read threads prior to voting. I am 30. I am an an ESPN.com refugee from mid-2004.
  15. Smart move by Beane. He's done a great job there, and is smart enough to realize that the grass isn't necessarily greener on the other side.
  16. Barrett gave a very interesting interview to MJ&H yesterday on ESPN 1000. They haven't posted it yet, but they may in the future: MJH homepage Barrett more or less refused to directly answer questions. He tip toed around having an opinion about Lou (something like, "Hey, I am just trying to learn from him.") or about the criticism of his base running gaffes ("Hey, I am a catcher."). He sounded very much like a guy on the outside looking in, like he was holding back his real opinions of what's going on. [/url]
  17. That they don't like hot, young, well-tanned chicks in bikins. They prefer vodka, fish eggs, and round, pasty women with partial mustaches.
  18. This is a very good point. I think the Floyd signing has had a sort of domino effect. Its like Jim decided he would put one stud in the OF and then hope quantity would make up for quality. Either that or he thought he could deal away Jones during the offseason.
  19. I love you both, so this is tough. But OMC had those sigs I looked fwd to so much...
  20. I voted for ya my friend, but the irony is delicious. "I'm sorry that you lost Mr. Derwood. But you've been driftin' for a long, long time..."
  21. This post delivers: http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CHC/2007_bo.shtml Are you Dick Gregory? I had no idea that you are Cubs fan.
  22. Then make room. Murton and Floyd are very tradeable.
  23. The solution here is simple: Bring back Bako.
