  1. Good point - I missed that. That's probably KU's #2.
  2. I know, I was just playing along with Ken because I like what he does and am always interested to see how the final bracket differs from his numbers.
  3. Pomeroy's Top 20 as of this morning: Kentucky Arizona Virginia Wisconsin Villanova Gonzaga Duke Utah Kansas Oklahoma North Carolina Northern Iowa Notre Dame Wichita St Baylor Iowa St Michigan St Louisville Texas (!!!) Ohio State http://kenpom.com So presumably: 1's: UK, UVA, Wis., Ariz. 2's: Duke, Gonzaga, 'Nova, Utah 3's: UNC, KU, Oklahoma, No. Iowa 4's: ND, Wch. St,, Baylor, Iowa St. The only place I think the committee will disagree is having UNC as a 3 and ND as a 4. ND is a 3 right now. UNC is probably still a 4, though my guess is closer to a "3.5". If UNC beats ND, they are probably both 3's. If ND wins they become a "2.5', but likely finish as a 3, and UNC settles into a 4. Also, I realize we can make argument for Iowa St. as a 3. Do they replace No. Iowa?
  4. I think the winner still might. EDIT: Take it back - if UNC wins, they might ascend to a 3 seed. ND is probably already there and might be in the discussion for a 2 if they win.
  5. Is it me, or do these guys **seem** like they are having more fun so far this season?
  6. I don't think that loss should bump UVA off the 1st line. It should for Duke.
  7. Rogers on Cubs ST thus far: http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/cubs/post/_/id/29181/cubs-camp-analysis-storylines-abound Pretty glowing. He thinks that the Hamels market is going to pick up again before the end of the month. His ideas around who the Cubs might offer seem unrealistic to me.

  9. Yeah, that was a very bad loss.
  10. Wow, I didn't realize that. He could have been at UNC, headed towards a classic showdown with Okafor. Hope he enjoys the first round of the NIT instead.
  11. Of course since I posted that, ND forgot how to play defense and Miami has switched to 3-2 zone look on D.
  12. I'd say you can safely take Miami out, barring intervention by a "higher power". I realize ND is very good, but Miami can't hit from anywhere beyond 10 feet, they don't rebound well, and play flat-out stupid on the defensive end. They look like Juan Pierre trying to catch a fly ball.
  13. He and Creen are sort of the Joseph Stalin's of college basketball coaches. There is some sort of cult of personality and propaganda that fools people into believing they are good.
  14. All kidding aside, I do wonder what the thought process is and who is driving it.
  15. Benson hitting the sauce and.... Too soon?
  16. Kelly must be going into his cave to devise a way to get all three on the field at the same time. And I am definitely drafting Jordan Matthews in the mid-rounds of my FFL draft this year. Someone has to catch the ball there, and he's pretty talented. EDIT: Where's this stuff about them backing out on Matthews? It may seem crazy, but this has the feel of a Xbox One Madden 2015 GM in the way Kelly is handling things. Kind of admire his courage.
  17. For the love of [expletive], please stop this nonsense. But I learned it from you search.php?keywords=isht&terms=all&author=Sammy+Sofa&sc=1&sf=all&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search http://thoughtsfromparis.com/wp-content/uploads/i-learned-it-by-watching-you-dad.jpg
  18. http://static.nfl.com/static/content/static/img/combine/headshots/2495281.jpg Along the lines of resting bitch face, this guy seems to have resting stoned face in 90% of his photos. I like it. I am going with what's his name with the bleach blond hair in "Fargo" vibe, but either way works.

  20. I do believe you might be right: Wonder what happens to Ryan Mundy. Not that it matters, because he's terrible.....but the Bears needed 2 safeties etiher way. Only Mundy and Vereen on the roster (besides filler like Anthony Walters). A couple interesting things to come out of yesterday's press conference. Lamarr Houston is also going to be an OLB. Pace said the team is going to be in 2-4-5 nickel or 2-3-6 dime personnel probably more than 60% of the time. So, I don't know that you'll get a lot of money spent on a NT, and probably not the 7th pick (thankfully). But seriously, at this point there's just Ratliff, Ego, and Sutton on the DL. And a previously barren LB position now has Houston, McPhee, Allen, Young, McClellin, Bostic, Jones, Greene, Bass, and Washington. I hadn't heard about the lean towards 2-4-5 and 2-3-6. If that's the case, I have to think they will be drafting at least one CB and FS.
  21. Do they have enough money left for Briggs and Peanut? I'd be surprised if Peanut doesn't wind up there. Actually he'd look good in a Pats uni as well.
  22. says the guy who freaked out 5 minutes into free agency because the bears missed out on all their targets Yup, I did on this occasion, but not sure how that relates to your fairly regular tantrums/grumpiness. That said, I have found you consistently entertaining over the last 11-plus years and hope you keep it up. Just took the opportunity to poke fun at you.
  23. Bulls win in OT on road in Philly, in spite of a MINUS 18 plus/minus from everyone's favorite basketball version of Neifi. Meanwhile, McDermott scored 7 in only 10 minutes of play...but lets keep giving Hinrich twice as many minutes.
  24. That's a pretty awesome Bears draft. OLB Beasley WR Coates WR Dorsett DE Raciti DT McCarthy S Johnson The first 2 are the same 2 picks I have on my personal mock draft. Dorsett is one of my favorite players in this draft, though I don't think he's necessary, assuming this Royal deal becomes official at some point soon. I'd probably go CB or S there and a couple of my favorites are on the board (PJ Williams and Cody Prewitt) and I'd take either running to the podium. McCarthy if he falls that far has the potential to be a steal if he can finally put it together. Believe he was pretty highly recruited. Raisin could give more details why he didn't live up to expectations, but I have no idea why he didn't or why he came out this year. Agreed on 3rd Rnd - if PJ Williams is there you take him.
  25. QB's need at least competent OL's and skill players around them to be productive. I'd argue that, of the top 5 or so QB's over the last 10 years, Brees has probably had the most overall "meh" skill players around him (Brady is a close second). Its pretty rare for QB's to be as successful as he has been while surrounded by mediocre talent. I dunno what goony is all exercised about...then again, he doesn't usually need a good reason.
