  1. Bedard just terrible tonight, commits the penalty that leads to Ovechkin tying Gretzky. At least the Blackhawks didn’t give a up a hat trick to let him take the all time lead. Hard not to be discouraged by Bedard’ regression this season. I know he wasn’t put in a position to succeed very often, surrounded by garbage, a lost season. Hockey experts can we expect signs of improvement next season? Not necessarily playoff contenders but competitive and trending towards a playoff team.
  2. Very enjoyable watching and listening to the Cubs putting an end to the Padres winning streak . I say listening because the Padres crew was on MLB. Not so enjoyable watching Pressly scared to throw strikes, cannot remain the closer. Dodgers’ winning streak ends tonight.
  3. Yes, he did, once Brasier is ready to go, will he be the one to go? Don’t know if Morgan has any options left.
  4. Don’t look now but, the bullpen was spotless this series.
  5. WTFever, you can always find another Morez Johnson, Boswell, far more important, is running it back. Word is Johnson got 1.3 million whereas, U of I’s offer was .6 million, so much for his lack of offensive development BS excuse.
  6. Watching Quick Pitch they’re all over De La Cruz for NL MVP sorry, he’s not even the best player in Central.
  7. Think Steele’ command improved over the last three innings. Resulting in more K’s and GB’s, an encouraging sign?
  8. Yes, this game was key, I’ve very little hope Taillon will effective tomorrow.
  9. Kyle Tucker is really horsefeathers good isn’t he? There’s Ohtani, Soto, Judge a couple other players and Tucker, going to suck when the Cubs don’t re-sign him.
  10. Not just Illinois, Tre Holloman, key part of MSU’ success entered the portal. Like nearly everything else, it’s about the dollars. Although I can’t see Holloman commanding top dollar and getting them anywhere. Illini may get a commitment from Josh Dix, though not the same position, I’d trade Morez Johnson for Dix.
  11. If anything I believe Poles will trade down, given what he has said regarding the draft he's aware it's top heavy. Being so, there isn't much difference between picks 10 - 50 offering a good case for moving down and acquiring more picks.
  12. Read something about Dallas being a possible trade up candidate, I would not.
  13. I agree, if Jeanty there at 10 the Bears are going to take him otherwise,OL - Campbell, Banks Jr. or Membou. Also, if Jeanty' not there at 10 a trade down, with Omarion Hampton being the first rounder is a possibility.
  14. is Tucker the best player in the NL Central? I say yes,. It's a shame I have little faith in the Cubs even attempting to re-sign him.
  15. Bottom of the 9th, two outs, Cubs up 15, I think this game is out of the bullpen danger zone. I think.
  16. Thanks was about to check out any rumors about possible ties to the Blackhawks. I'm for it, let's give him a shot.
  17. Definitely should be close games, WMU went 2-1 vs. Denver, believe all were one goal games. Didn't know there was speculation about the Denver coach moving on to, I presume, the NHL?
  18. Anyone watching NCAA hockey? Was looking for a potential MSU - BC match in the final, now rooting for WMU although solving Denver is going to be a real task. Don't know what to think of PSU-BU, BU I guess?
  19. Thanks, me, being a math and physics guy, loves your explanation and charts of pitching science. Well, come to think of it, baseball is physics. As you said, the main take away is Morgan because of a lack of plus stuff has no margin for error.
  20. Morgan can join Pearson, just don't see an avenue to effectiveness for him. Didn't someone mention he was extraordinary lucky last year?
  21. On a bit more rational take I believe there are some young arms that could help, the question is how many games will Pressly, Morgan, Rea and Brasier be allowed to blow before going with the young arms? I don't believe any of these guys should be given a long look most especially when you're trying to reach the post season.
  22. Horton and Little could potentially help, but, I've no faith that they're alive let alone throw a pitch or another pitch at the major league level.
  23. After blowing x number of very winnable games, it'll come together, however, the early blown games will cost the Cubs later.
