  1. It's going to be, what, 1.5 hours until the Bears pick? Well, at least I can watch Sabres-Bruins until they pick.
  2. Appeared Dansby' ball ends the game no matter where the Phillies' OF are playing. Hell yeah!!!!
  3. I was very confident Bregman was going to end it, so to were the Phillies.
  4. Are any of the currently IL'ed pitchers going to be back soon? Like, maybe, before June?
  5. I don't blame Webb, it was all on Milner' inability to throw strikes, he had control problems his last time out as well. If Milner can't throw strikes he serves no purpose.
  6. Given they're not the Brewers, I think it's safe to say they're done. Good chance they'll be sellers.
  7. Was hoping the Mets losing streak would hit 13, too bad they won. Don't believe the Mets are going to recover even with Soto' return. There's just something off with that team, something missing. Maybe it's no Alonso.
  8. Thought of that as well, who might be looking to trade up? Appears the Packers, Falcons, Jaguars, Broncos, Colts and Bengals are without a 1st, Packers won't be interested in trading with the Bears. Might the remaining teams be looking to get back into the first round? Guess, that depends on their boards and the way the draft falls.
  9. Given this year's draft pool, if the Bears, at 25, trade down, it would be into the 2nd-4th Rds, correct? Maybe, not such a bad idea, the player they'll get at 25 won't be much different than those available in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th. Could the pick at 25 get, say, a 2nd and a 4th? If so, address the DL need with the highest 2nd, then look at some combination of DB, DL, OL-T/G, OL-C, LB, RB and WR with the remaining picks - think that makes a total of 8 picks.
  10. Cardinals are definitely a false positive, they'll regress, not too worried about them. Pirates have shades of being a false positive as well, pitching is very good, line up is terrible, what happens if one or more of their arms goes down? Reds are probably genuinely good and the Brewers, well, doesn't matter what key players get hurt. Anyone and everyone they throw out on the field produces.
  11. Heck yeah! This was the big one in terms of at least splitting the series.
  12. Every draft they should take at least one OL. After OB, OL's are amongst the important part of the team, have to keep stockpiling.
  13. Guess the Illini are out of the Blackwell sweepstakes, I'm okay with this development. Even though it's not my money I never thought Blackwell is worth the price tag. He's more a product Gard' system than anything else, still, I'd like to see them add another player.
  14. Look at it this way, if the Mets are in need of Melendez to coming up big for them they may never win another game.
  15. Victor Diaz nonsense was far worse, at least 2015 was in playoffs and the Mets were actually a good team. Victor Diaz' HR was quite literally the only noteworthy thing he did in a very short MLB career.
  16. His injury history might be a contributing factor.
  17. I think it best to forget about Cade Horton altogether, with the surgery, chances of re-injury. He should be removed from the equation of the Cubs future. Which, of course, is unfortunate and really sucks, it's the price teams pay for velocity. He'll more likely end up as one of those guys who never pitches again because he can't keep of the injured list. Than someone who makes it all the way back.
  18. Phillies getting the horsefeathers kicked out of them again, down 7-0 going into the home half of the 6th.
  19. Glad that's over, this thing with the Mets the lead off man reaching every inning was getting really horsefeathers annoying.
  20. Yeah, he's got major Ryan Pressley/Hector Neris vibes about him. Pitching analytics might tell a different story.
  21. Let Michigan be #1, let them deal with pressure, spotlight, all that horsefeathers. Although, if one or both of Mara and Johnson declare for the draft. It'd be hard for the Illini not to #1.
  22. It's about horsefeathers time, how many times have seen the Cubs crush balls with nothing to show? Turn about is fair play I say.
  23. When Happ is not hitting big situations always seem to find him. I'd move him down in the order until he starts hitting.
