  1. Listened a little to the Bears Report with Hub Arkush last night on B&B, trying to pick up on whether or not Gage is going to play. There was an interview snippet with Mark Bradley, said his role was going to be somewhat limited. Hub also mentioned Rasheid (or Rasheed?) Davis' role wasn't going to change significantly either, leaving me to deduce that, very unfortunately, Gage is going to start at WR Sunday night. Did anyone else catch the remainder of the show? Hope I'm wrong about Gage...
  2. Even without the blitzing, Miami's D-Line made the Bears O-Line look terrible, they just abused them, they couldn't protect Grossman and give the runners good lanes. On the flipside, the Bears D-Line looked worse than the Bears O-Line which is saying something & why they were demolished. The Bears have to adjust to how teams are attacking them with quick 3 step drops and quick passes. Oh that's right the "angry" Jason Taylor but, seriously, I agree the offensive line was terrible today as a result, they put the defense in bad positions all day.
  3. They're 4-4 that's about right, an average team.
  4. How many times did Miami blitz today? For, its becoming obvious Grossman is having trouble handling or adjusting to the blitz. I'm guessing the Giants are going to blitz, blitz and blitz some more, knowing this, let's see if Turner is worth his salt. If a team' going to blitz away there's got to be a way to beat it...
  5. He can be angry all he wants fact is, his team is going to be 2-6, with Joey Harrington as its quaterback and is not going to even sniff the playoffs this season.
  6. I think that was on Gage...bad route. I'd consider going with Hester, bottom line, Gage should not play another down as a Bear WR.
  7. Nice run by Brown, Briggs tackled in pursuit...
  8. Will the Dolphins be called for holding today? I'm not excusing the Bears poor play but, Harris was being held on that TD pass.
  9. Love the way the Officiating was all over the PF on Manning but, missed a blatant hold (of Wale) and illegal use of hands by Booker, quality....
  10. Block by Booker - no Diedorf, it was a push in the back by Booker.
  11. I was going to ask if anyone else noticed, Wale, flat out tackled by the center I believe.
  12. Does Thomas Jones' first move ALWAYS have to be left or right?
  13. Is there a San Diego Padre equavilent to northsidebaseball.com? If so, I wonder what' the reaction to Baker interview...
  14. Watching what Seattle did in the NFC Championship, I kept thinking why didn't the Bears do the same? It appeared Seattle double-teamed Smith and dared Carolina to throw to anyone else.
  15. I'm completely convinced that some of the people here as the Cubs GM, with the same resources as Hendry, would have had the Cubs in the playoffs.
  16. Whoa there...calm down before you start typing. Good advice, the Red Sox manager was John McNamara and Buckner drove in 102, guess I should check the facts as well...
  17. Pin it on the Cubs, of course!!!! How about the fact that Buckner on two messed up knees still managed to drive in 106 runs, would the Red Sox have even been in that WS without Buckner? Looking for someone or something to pin the blame on? About Grady Little for not replacing a less than mobile Buckner at 1B?
  18. Mike Brown the Mark Prior/Kerry Wood of the Bears however, unlike the Cubs, I don't believe his loss will cripple the Bears.
  19. A-Rod back at SS, re-united with Piniella, wouldn't surprise me at all if put up Pujols like numbers from SS...
  20. Most definitely, the Cardinals were better prepared and came out to play but, after the first quarter, the Bear defense stepped up. Cardinal Offense: 1st Quarter - 7 1st Downs, 107 total yards Next 3 Quarters - 10 1st Downs, 197 totals yards If Lovie and Turner wouldn't have gotten caught up in trying to put on a MNF show and Rex hadn't gone into total gunslinger mode. The Bears might not have needed two scores by the defense and a special team score to win.
  21. I believe Grossman has a little of the Farve-like gunslinger in him, of course, at times, it'll be costly however, more times than not, it'll result in a big play. I haven't seen such an approach from a Bears QB since McMahon, just not used to seeing this from the Bears QB or offense.
  22. If the only TD's the Bears are going to allow are of the garbage-time variety, I'll take it...
  23. Hey Yankees - Best Offense Money Can Buy + Crap Pitching = 1st Rd Playoff Loss
  24. Pretty pathetic that the supposedly objective Announcers are pulling for the Yankees or it was Miller' attempt at Post Season drama.
