  1. It’s really frustrating listening to Cubs losing to the Cardinals, what’s more so, will be the media reaction should the Cardinals win today and tomorrow. They be all over how the Cardinals were under ratted and are contender, it'll all look pretty silly come September when the Cardinals are 10+ games behind the Cubs.
  2. Let's see, Dempster in his can't throw a strike mode and every Cardinal gounder finding a hole and bloop falling in - great.
  3. As do I but, I'm taking comfort in the fact that the Cubs are a far better team than the Cardinals and its only a matter of time before the Cubs leave them in the dust.
  4. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Happy now Mr. goony?
  5. I believe the Blackhawks are the better team and will prove it by beating Calgary. If, in the 2nd RD, they end up facing SJ, I don't expect the Blackhawks to win. But, that's OK because I believe all of this is setting up the next 5 or so years where I look for them to be one of the dominant teams in the Western Conference and overtake the Wings.
  6. That's the key point, if so, the Cardinals might hang in the race. However, once this Cubs team hits it stride its going to blow the Cardinals and the rest of NL Central away.
  7. Who the worst LF? Duncan, Braun or Soriano?
  8. I still find it hard to believe that people think this Cardinal team is good, the lineup consists of one HOF hitter and a bunch of average to below average hitters.
  9. We all know Marquis will give the Cubs multiple chances to get back in the game, its up to them to cash in.
  10. Jose Macias Danny Jackson, I believe he pitched one three up, three down inning as a Cub.
  11. On the plus side Lilly does seem to have better stuff than the other night when he was pitching Home Run Derby.
  12. What did Miles lose some baseball IQ points when he became a Cub? Take sign or not you take another pitch!!!
  13. Initially I was upset but, this is just what Cubs signed up for in Bradley. They took a chance, let's hope his injury doesn't keep him on the DL or out of the lineup too long although, once again, this injury seems to be one those that will linger for whole season. Wonder if it'll come down to how much pain/discomfort Bradley wants to play in/with.
  14. Correct me if I'm wrong but, as OF don't you initially break back on the ball then adjust in?
  15. That's what I was thinking as well, there's a good chance the Cubs are going score early and often vs Bush and Suppan.
  16. The most upsetting feature of this game maybe the Cubs issuing what, 5+ BB? To a team that swings at anything close.
  17. with braun running? they had a better chance than they did at home. and weeks was definitely safe. With Theriot' noodle arm there was a far better chance of turning the DP than throwing out the runner at home.
  18. Two BB's for Hart who doesn't take many pitches!
  19. Most especially with someone, in Marshall, who occasionally has trouble finding the strike zone.
  20. That might be acceptable against a Tim Lincecum (sp?) or Josh Beckett but, vs. Looper? Come on.
  21. It amazes me how many swings and misses a guy with Looper' stuff gets.
  22. To those with MLB Gameday Audio subscriptions - Are you having any trouble with the WGN feed?
  23. Forced to listen to the Houston feed, WGN crapped out, early on the they had some chick talking about job openings, a little later, they were eating pie.
  24. Its really annoying when crap hitters like Bourne keep getting on base vs Cubs.
