  1. Honestly shocked the Illini won last night, it had all the makings of a Brad Underwood special - not playing well, Mirkovic sick, a little guy off the NU bench going nuts keeping an inferior team in the game. With the result being a completely avoidable loss to a meddling team.
  2. Thanks and agreed. Crappy thing about Ozzy is his injury maybe career ending, just too bad. Appears he was starting to develop into a solid OL then, the bottom falls out from beneath him. I guess the only positive is Ozzy was drafted and developed by this coaching staff, think they'll be able to do it again. However, they'll probably have to spend a higher pick that could have been better served going to the defense.
  3. Is the difference in the run game, Benedet vs. Ozzy, as big?
  4. I wish he'd stick with all the hate, it's been good luck.
  5. Completely moronic analysis, that babble about missing Loveland on the 4th down pass to Odunze. Discounts the rusher who was bearing down on Caleb, forcing him to the left. Had Jackson not been beaten so quickly, I suspect Caleb would have been on Loveland.
  6. Just for shits and giggles I was re-watching/listening to Packers' radio call of the game on 12/23. I 'd really like to see Walker take Zaccheaus' spot next season.
  7. Beyond a doubt there's things to improve, Caleb himself has talked about missing some throws and improving in accuracy. It being year one of Ben Johnson' offense for everyone is also a valid point, as you said they'll nail down the details. Once Caleb gets to the 64-67 % range with the details of the offense nailed down, the Bears are going to be close to unstoppable. I truly believe this may be the "worst" of Caleb and Ben, now, if they could fix the defense, just a little bit.
  8. It's more Nacua and the TE's that'll be the worries, Adams has been dealing with a hamstring and hasn't been as effective of late.
  9. Fixed. Must be a sad day for Chris, one of his boys may have played his last game and it was a ****** last game at that.
  10. I loathe the mother horsefeathers, it's too bad he wasn't announcing last night' Texans - Steelers game to see his boy get mauled. horsefeathers never has any praise for the Bears, pounces on every mistake and doesn't let it go, last Bears game he did was a perfect example. Purdy throws a horsefeathers pick-6 and Collinsworth' is hounding Caleb for missing a pass.
  11. He's definitely regressed from his rookie season although, this season was an improvement over last.
  12. Man that 2nd Caleb INT, if DJ doesn't slip that's an easy TD. Would have been wide open.
  13. Me to, it was okay for Rodgers to be a disrespectful ass all those years. Now the Packers are getting the same horsefeathers thrown right back their faces and it's bad? horsefeathers them.
  14. Watching some of film break downs one can see Ben badly out coached LaFleur/Hafley in the second half. I mean Hafley, I guess because he's the Packer DC, is a supposed coordinating genius and Ben obliterated him. Ben has his moments where he out thinks himself nevertheless, he's far and away the best Bears in the last 15 years, it's not even close. Another observation, from re-watching the game, 2nd half, Sweat and Dexter were monsters, most especially Sweat. Numerous times Montez bummed rushed the Packers OL, knocking them to the ground, getting pressure on Love and effecting his throws. Same with Gervon, he tossed the Packers C aside like he was nothing and pressured Love. Finally, the Packers kicker, McManus, someone correct me if I'm wrong, wasn't he hurt for a bit and Packers brought in some guy from the street who set their franchise record for FG distance? Whom the pushed back to the practice squad after McManus recovered? I don't know, McManus might lesser legged version of Santos, I would have strongly considered staying with the big leg. Very grateful the Packers chose to stick with McManus.
  15. McManus simply not knowing how to play the wind, kick in Soldier Field was very helpful. I'll give Santos credit, he may have a noodle leg but, he knows how play Soldier Field giving the Bears a big advantage.
  16. An excellent foreshadowing on their part.
  17. I've little doubt the first two picks will be defense, probably DL and DB/LB, the third, I'd go OL followed by defense.
  18. I know, but, the recovery window for his injury is a good chunk of the year. Fairly certain they're going to spend a pick on the OL, just have to do it earlier.
  19. With the injury to Trapilo they'll have to spend an earlier pick on a OL. Maybe go defense, defense, OL with the first three picks.
  20. That's the best part, year after year watching Rodgers do this to Bears and now it Caleb doing those same things to them.
  21. Whoppin' their ass the whole game? Does the second half not count?
  22. I believe there's many of us here who watch Big Ten football and knew Loveland and Warren are very good. It was only a matter of time for Loveland, the slow start to camp is the only thing that held him back. And, I'm awfully glad the Packers didn't take Burden, he would have been a tremendous pain in the ass for the Bears. Golden might still be but, I think Burden would have the better pick for them.
  23. Someone over at the meltdown that is Brewers Fanatic just posted that Caleb has touch of Aaron Rodgers in him. In that he's all smiles and giggles when things are going well but, when things aren't, blames his receivers. Taking comfort that there will soon be a schism between Caleb and his receivers. WTF is clown watching? On numerous occasions we've heard Caleb say he has to be better, putting the blame on himself.
  24. Sucks about Trapilo, Benedet is a more than capable run blocker, in fact, a very good run blocker, they'll have to give him some help when pass blocking.
  25. Plus two three and outs! Been nearly two months since they had a three and out.
