  1. If I were Lou I'd go jump in the Ump' face today - there's a difference in the strike zones and it's not even close.
  2. There's definitely two strike zones today.
  3. Every *$#@@!!! hard hit ball goes to someone unbelievable. The same crap happened the last two games of the Atlanta series as well.
  4. Carpenter helped us out, if the Cub bullpen can be effective, there's no doubt they'll get to the crap in the Cardinal pen.
  5. I'd let him face Carpenter. I wouldn't.
  6. Definitely won't be missing him next year. That is until Duncan almost assuredly gets his hands on him and his ERA drops below 2. Unless he's healthy never going to happen.
  7. I've had my fill of Harden, he's hurt and doing himself a disservice to himself and the Cubs by continuing to pitch. I'd take my chances with a healthy Harden vs Pujols. Get him out, put him the DL, replace him with Marshall.
  8. I don't care what the Cubs or Harden say, he's hurt and should be on the DL, BP fastballs, can't consistently find the strike zone - he's hurting.
  9. Anyone think there's even the remote possibility that Harden' actually, for a change, effective and the Cubs win?
  10. Why not? I was going to ask this as well, Kawakami is pretty terrible on the road, 6 HR in 36IP, 5+ ERA, there's real no real reason the Cubs shouldn't touch him up for 5+ runs.
  11. Thus far, every time the Cubs take a step forward they then take two steps back. Taking 3 of 4 from the Brewers was a step forward, losing 2 of 3 to a mediocre to poor Braves team would be two steps back. Come on Cubs pound the Braves today!!!!
  12. I think so....and it's about time! Here's to the Cardinals and Brewers regretting they didn't put the Cubs away when they had the chance.
  13. Excellent! Perhaps, that'll clear it up once and for Sporting New's DeCourcey (wrote an apologetic article a few months ago, along with defending his actions concerning the recruitment of Eric Gordon) the guy' a liar and a cheater.
  14. McGhee' on hot streak but, let's not get carried away, he's 27 with career minor league numbers .279 BA and a .730 OPS - there's a reason he's spent 5+ years in minor league ball. He's not that good, of course, if one could have guaranteed he would have preformed in the current manner. I would have taken that in Ramirez' absence however, given his past numbers, chances are slim that would have happened.
  15. Wonder if Joshua and Theriot will convince him to just give up on the LH thing. But, but, wasn't Bradley signed to help the balance the lineup? - Ahhh, nevermind.
  16. It's really growing tiresome, really tiresome.
  17. AKA the same thing every team does when they have a walkoff win. seriously, it makes no sense that people here complain about what other teams do when they walk off on us. Perhaps, its the fact that we've seen a walk off during nearly every road trip and it seems as though the Cubs blew late inning leads in each one.
  18. Way to swing at a ball Lee, that was a ball from the moment it left Jenks' hand.
  19. Yea, I don't think its nitpicking. most SS make that play. :( No kidding. Pretty much any SS with halfway decent range at least stops that ball and keeps Beckham at 3rd. I gotta agree, couldn't expect Theriot with his noodle arm getting Ramirez at 1b but, at least, he should have kept the ball in the inflield.
  20. Give me a freakin' break, does every dribbler have to find a hole against the Cubs in the late innings?!!!!!
