  1. Really? I don't deny their playing well at the moment but, did see their lineup today? Will Venable, Jerry Hariston, Nick Hundley, Tony Gywnn Jr., Everth Cabrera all, save for Hariston' robust .254, hitting .237 or less...
  2. This against the pure [expletive] (beyond Gonzalez) that is the Padre lineup that's pathetic. Even the Cubs who are now arguable the worst team in baseball have 27 more HR's and only 6 less runs than the Padres - they're going to get the crap kicked out of them in the playoffs.
  3. It has been, its too bad him and Ramirez crapped the bed for 4+ months for, if they'd been anything remotely resembling competent. The Cubs would be right there, they've managed to take 5 of the last 7 from one of then NL' supposed best teams in the Cardinals. As terrible as they've been yet, it could have been so much better.
  4. In looking at sully' Hawks' roster I don't know how they're not the best team in the WC this season. If Turco is solid, and I suspect he will be, the Hawks will considered favorites for the cup again, Rosenberg et al clamoring about the loss of Niemi just don't know anything about hockey.
  5. And Santo is getting pissed at Lilly for giving up a HR. I'm not upset at the HR but, what pisses me off is a not very good player - Feliz - hit it.
  6. I too think the Bulls are going to get shut out of Bosh, Wade and LeBron, we're going to end up with Lee or Boozer or both.
  7. at least one of those was fun to watch At least the Cubs aren't falling over themsevles to congratulate the Reds after evey hit or play they like the Bears vs. the Bengals.
  8. Come on, top flight [expletive] like Paul Jannish 4-4? Being bad is one thing but, making the [expletive] that is most of the Reds lineup look compotent that's not even funny bad.
  9. You mean winning or Soto actually making it into the lineup for consecutive games?
  10. I don't know if the Reds are good or if it's just one of those years where everything works out. Beyond Rolen and Votto, they've got an awful lot of fringe players playing very well for them - Miguel Cairo, Ramon Hernandez, etc. - I could see them winning the division this year and falling off the map next year.
  11. Anyone up for more of that defensive catching marvel that is Koyie Hill today?
  12. To be fair though, even Gomes can crush balls placed on a tee for them, in fact, any hitter can - whoops, I meant every hitter except a Cub. Lee and Ramirez couldn't hit .250 in a slow pitch softball league.
  13. All of this against a Reds lineup with, what, 3 quality hitters? Impressive.
  14. I must has missed something but, why the F**K!!!!!!!! does Lou keep playing Hill? Team having trouble scoring runs -check. You have a catcher who can actually hit - check. Play the one who can't hit - ahhhh, check? Unless I missed it, I wish some reporter would get the balls to ask Lou this question. Haha question Lou? Nobody in the Chicago media has the balls to question Lou on anything they are all terrified of him. The media that cover the Cubs give Lou a free pass. No, they'll ask him but he'll get all flustered and throw up his hands and say, "What can I do!?" Then they'll back off. Play the guy who can hit numbnuts.

  16. You heard it here. Byfuglien = Brock. Not even close, I may be way off here but, losing Byfuglien isn't all that big a blow. He was the beneficiary of playing on a line with Toews and Kane and was perhaps, dusted with a little playoff pixie dust. I'm thinking Beach can give you the same play maybe even more scoring.
  17. Wow, while not scoring many goals I thought Hossa was fantastic throughout the whole of the playoffs.
  18. In watching the reply of Kane' goal, it appears Sharp knew the puck was in as well. Looks as if he starts celebrating before Kane.
  19. I'd say that's about right, in deference to NewUserName, the Hawks are younger and most importantly, better along with a quality management, they're not going away anytime soon.
  20. It's got an interesting history, lost, left in cabs, elevators, you name it.
  21. I demand dextermorgan's presence. UMFan, too. They as well hopefully, there enjoying the fruits of their labor somewhere.
  22. Where's Kyle? He worked the negative/positive mojo to perfection!!!
  23. I heard it. After a couple minutes of the confusion I turned on the radio feed and the delay was such that it was just happening. Weidemann was just as confused as Doc was. It's too bad it happened that way, but who gives a [expletive]. So they were pretty much like what everyone else was like? I love post-title interviews and it's ever cooler when it's players you've watched and rooted for all year. Too bad Foley wasn't there on the call.
  24. Is that available anywhere on the Web?
  25. Kaner surrounded by women at the moment.
