Yeah, so much for the Big Ten being the nation' best basketball conference this year. They still were. The NCAAs being used as the be-all end-all measure for conferences is an annual source of annoyance for me. I see your point however, I really believed they'd have two teams in the Final Four further validating the Big Ten as the best. It's been 4 years since a conference had two Final Four teams - and before that it had been another 4 years. It just doesn't happen that much. Should Michigan lose tommorrow we'll hear about the conference not being the best, etc. However, if one looks at the tournament maybe there is evidence of the Big Ten's excellence. Just look at what Minnesota and Illinois did to higher seeded teams. Hell, if DJ Richardson hits a shot or two they beat what many considered to be the best team in the nation. And Minnesota kicked the [expletive] out of UCLA.

I could see it if they were dominating the play and forcing turnovers but, its not the case. Its the Hawks coughing up the puck and the Ducks getting every bounce that's the frustrating part. Come playoffs the Hawks will sweep them.

The Blackhawks are still head and shoulders above those clowns but, the losses to Anahiem are really starting to piss off.

I don't know if the Illini played well or Miami may not be as good as everyone thinks, most of the CBS crew has big time hard-ons for them. Did not look impressive at all tonight, got bailed out by some one sided officiating and wide open misses by the Illini.

Think the officiating been a little one sided 6 fouls on the Illini compared to only 2 against Miami.

Seems they're trying to get Egwu going, he's shot quite a bit. They might be doing quite a bit better if he could actually hit a shot. Looks like the Illini are well into one of their patented couldn't a open shot if their live's depended on it runs.

iowa st wouldn't have been in it if not for him [expletive] all over himself the last 7 minutes. last possession could not have gone better. I sign on for that shot all day. a three pt play on that horse [expletive] charge call puts iowa st up 4 with a minute and change left. part that stings the most is the absolute collapse of the rest of the bracket and the legit chance they would have had at a FF. i feel your pain, homes. it will almost assuredly happen to the illini tonight, but the game thankfully won't be so close. I feel the Illini are playing with house money, many had them losing to Colorado so, they can be absolutely fearless tonight.

Not expecting much but, how great would it be if one of the teams many of us are fans of, the Illini, was on the plus side of a big NCAA upset? Heaven knows the Illini have been on the negative side of that [expletive] enough times.

I keep hearing this, but this is only the second game his missed this season. At least, in its entirety. Too bad it wasn't senior night for Ted Valentine tonight, I believe he's one of the officials who think the crowd is there to watch him officiate. You can count on numerous [expletive] calls whenever he's on the floor. Is he the [expletive] who called a flagrant foul on Betrand last year while he was trying to rebound the ball?

Not gonna happen. Bruce Weber' Illini, yes, but with the way this team has been playing lately, no, it appears the light has finally come on for them, especially on defense.

I know this may read crazy but, I believe the Illini have been coming closer and closer to putting a complete game together. Wouldn't be all that surprising it finally comes together today and they blow out Wisconsin.

At best, he's maybe (?) a marginal upgrade to Cutler. I think they're probably about equal. Thinking this team will somehow turn around by giving up multiple first round picks to get Flacco is stupid, especially when that decision is based on one half of a game. I believe with a TE that can actually catch the ball and average OL play - is safe to assume an average OL can offer enough pass protection to enable the RB and TE to run routes? - we'll see a vast improvement in Cutler and the offense. It also helps in Trestman the Bears have a HC with a clue about offense, Lovie never had a clue, didn't want to have a clue about offense.
