  1. He's terrible but, Nagy may be worse, he's not putting him a position to succeed. As terrible as Mitch is, there a few things he does well, Nagy' got to leverage those things, give him a chance to succeed. The one thing he does well is maybe make something out of a broken play on occasion. You can’t scheme that. He had open receivers and missed them, again and again. He can’t think and he can’t hit open guys. He had made zero strides. Maybe that’s on Nagy a bit, but these are not out of nowhere concerns with Mitch. There’s a very good chance no coach could polish this turd. A little razzle dazzle got them to 10 wins, but that may be the high water mark. Maybe, they should look at running the ball - a lot - think Mitch can hand the ball off as well as anyone, I think. Why not take the ball out his hands?

  3. Maybe but, give up after a handful of attempts?
  4. 1) you have to pass when you are losing 2) you should pass even when you aren’t losing because passing is awesome and running is irrelevant in the current NFL They didn't try to establish the running game, with this stupid horsefeathers of a QB, why wouldn't you try to run the ball?
  5. Since were stuck with this crap at QB can anything be done? Some kind of a gimmick offense? Go to no huddle full time? Sometimes I don't understand what Mitch is waiting for on some throws, late in the first half, he holds on to the ball forever then, decides to try dumping it Cohen. He's got know, with this line, he's got little to no time and must get rid of the ball quickly. Just how horsefeathering stupid is he?
  6. Let's get to fixing the Cubs, with a few good moves and some luck health wise, they can be right back in the playoffs.
  7. Goodbye Cardinals, should have not gotten that far in the first place nevertheless, bye, bye.
  8. What do you know, an over performing team regressing, getting beat down.
  9. Beating Scherzer twice does mean something, lol. Sorry you can't do "small samples!!!" to things like that. That guy wrecked almost every one he faced. Since Jeff Albert (came over from Houston) became the primary hitting coach, the Cardinals have had the 4th best offense in baseball. Nationals, like the Braves, have a crap bullpen. You need that to win in the playoffs. Cardinals will just hack fouls and take take take until the 5th-6th when starters are lifted and feast on their pen. Just like we did Atlanta. I don't put a lot of stock into WAR for pitchers when the stat doesn't consider weak contact/ground balls. And that's the moneyball market efficiency that Cardinals were all-in on. Mikolas, Waino, and Hudson are all groundball specialists. The whole staff is. With Edman and Wong and DeJong in the infield... it'll be smooth sailing barring crazy BABIP luck. Cardinals are the best postseason team remaining with HR/FB rates too. We keep the ball in the park in a homer-crazy league. That's how you win. That's how we'll beat the Nationals. Was listening to the board cast last night, color announcer was talking about the Cardinals offensively being the worst of the remaining teams. Think were seeing a little of that, thus far, got to give the National' pitching a lot of credit.
  10. It does matter, especially vs. the Bears, right now, if they resort to relying on Mitch and the passing game that's almost a guaranteed Bear loss. They've got to be patient with running game, keep pounding, eventually, it'll start to be effective.
  11. Mahomes should have been picked off twice in addition to one time he was - we're always reading this about Mitch. Mahomes and Watson both looked terrible at times, made dumb mistakes, Mahomes threw the ball up grabs on several occasions. I'd imagine most would still take either over Mitch and rightfully so, for the most part Mitch has been terrible. Keep hearing about a "good" Saints defense, don't see it, statistically, they're middle of the pack perhaps, it's the sacks, think it's the only statistic in which they're top 10. Do not think it unreasonable that the Bears should be able to move the ball and score some points.
  12. I remember being at a Cubs-Mets game where the Cubs scored 10 before recording an OUT .
  13. Now's the time to knock Molina on his fat ass. Ballgame's no longer in question.
  14. Think I'll stay asleep on Edman...
  15. He also threw his helmet and did a throat slash. My dream is for Acuna to hit a walk off homer off Martinez tomorrow and take 5 minutes to round the bases. Problem with a walk off is Mr Professional future HOFer Respect the Game douche will just sprint to the club house. So admiring a moonshot around the 7th/8th inning would be amazing Believe you're correct so, my idea of Acuna waving goodbye to the Cardinals as he rounds the bases may not be quite as effective as what you've put forth.
  16. My god please plunk the horsefeathers out of him his first at bat. Mr respect the game He also threw his helmet and did a throat slash. My dream is for Acuna to hit a walk off homer off Martinez tomorrow and take 5 minutes to round the bases. That would be awesome! We'll hear about him not "respecting" the game from the Cardinals all offseason.
  17. That, at best, was a questionable flag, looked more to me as if he fell over a player on the ground. Nevertheless, with as awful as the defense was, you still win the game with an average OB. Or, not committing those inane meat-head taunting personal fouls, they did twice.
  18. Whining or not, that choke hold [expletive] needs to be called, appears to be a Packer specialty vs. Mack. Recalled seeing the same “excellent” blocking on Mack from the Packers last season.
  19. Oh, what the hell; he barely uses it, AND he thinks Trubisky stinks now, too? What did they do with my sulley. you gotta go to "tweets and replies" to find the good stuff Good stuff regarding Mitch' inability to read through the progressions and not very encouraging. Also, found the article about the Packers' media boasting how they completely shut down Mack funny. Yeah, he was shut down, they horsefeathering HELD him on nearly every pass play and did not get called.
  20. Geez 1 game and we're already convincing ourselves the Bears aren't going to be good this year? Don't get me wrong, last week was very discouraging but I'm not ready to give up on the team yet. We saw Tribusky make the same mistakes, this is what has me down on them and, as you said, is very discouraging.
  21. Even that numb-nuts managed to help his team win a playoff game.
  22. I'm guessing everyone's picking the Broncos, I do not have much faith the Bears are going to turn it around. Heard something on the Score last night apparently, the Packers spent most of the night in a "dime" package, one of the ways to attack this formation is running the ball. Wouldn't any good offensive coach recognize this and accordingly adjust? In an attempt to make Mitch a pocket passer I'm thinking the Broncos are going try the same thing or something similar. If Nagy' worth anything he'd better make adjustments and exploit what the D is giving them.
  23. Think we'll see a bunch of running in an attempt to take the ball out of Mitch' hands? I hope it would be to balance the offense and get more touches to Montgomery and especially Cohen. Either way you phrase it, the result should be the same. Worst possible outcome for week 1, Bears lose, offense is terrible, Mitch is worse and everyone else in the NFC North wins. Might be a bit melodramtic to say but, they must win in Denver. On a side note - I've read quite a bit about Mitch only looking in the direction he's going to throw, wouldn't looking off your target be QB 101? Why is Mitch unable to do so?
  24. Think we'll see a bunch of running in an attempt to take the ball out of Mitch' hands?
  25. I believe you're correct, for me it's 0%, its never going to happen, we'll get flashes but, never consistency. And to think I had thoughts the offense was going to take off, GB for all the defensive improvement, still left receivers open all over the place. Mitch will not ever see them.
