  1. It’s just that we’ve seen actual good GB teams and this one doesn’t match up to those, really in any way except Rodgers. They scrapped by with a lot of riff raff which is cool, but this game was what they really were when matched up against quality. I’ll admit some jealousy because the Bears NEVER turn horsefeathers to gold like GB, but I’ve watched enough football and so have you. This wasn’t a good team. That’s not an insult, just being real. This was about a 10-6/11-5 team. It was Rodgers and an ok OL and an above average defence, and nothing more. I think they'll be just as good next year. If they strike gold with a WR draft pick and some other complimentary D piece, I think they are better next year. Above average defense? What was above average about it?
  2. Think it reduces their 2019 Super Bowl appearances to that of 2019 Bears - 0. Well, the game isn't over, so at the moment, the chance that the Pack makes the SB is INFINITELY better than that of the Bears. Not any more....
  3. nee 13 This probably reduces their average playoff record to 1-1.13!!! FRAUDS!!! Think it reduces their 2019 Super Bowl appearances to that of 2019 Bears - 0.
  4. 34 - 7 What does 34-7 (nee 14) have to do with 10-7 and 21-13? Sweep?! I mean come on, join reality with me. Nothing, 34 - 13, I can do arithmetic, just wanted to add a GIF of Ray Liotta laughing at the score.
  5. Yes, that is indeed their pro football reference page. Well spotted. 34 - 7
  6. Deserving to be here or not, it’s not surprising their exit involved getting blown out. They were frauds all year and easily could’ve been like 8-8. They just aren’t good and lucked in to 13 wins. Your Mom could have been 8-8, but you don't see me bringing up her point differential. Seriously though, the Packers were clearly the 3rd best team in the NFC. I'm not surprised they are getting stomped by the 49ers, but the reason they went 13-3 is that they were better than most of the teams they played. 8-8 is stright non-sense and some kind of 1% low end of possible outcomes. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/gnb/2019.htm - all the numbers suggest an average team, they did get some fortunate bounces, hell, the Bears weren't all that far from sweeping them.
  7. This is what happens when you play a team that doesn't leave Devante Adams open on every play and has an actual running back running behind a non patch work OL.
  8. I’m not a believer in Jimmy G at QB. The 49ers are going to horsefeathers around and let Aaron Rodgers pull this game out of his ass, I’m afraid. It’s one of those games where you feel like even a 17-0 lead won’t kill the Pack if they get stops in the 2nd half and Rodgers gets hot. I don't think so, GB has no business being in this game in first place, they're going to be down 27 or 23. Cannot stop the SF running game, going to be a Niners romp, which is, of course, awesome, hope they win by 30.
  9. Yeah, it will probably be closer than last time, but the 49ers are a much better team. Packers need Jimmy G to make some bad decisions/throws to win. That's not too far fetched, he's a tick or two better than Mitch and completely capable of Mitch level bad play. If the Niners get the ground game going the Packers are done.
  10. They're not wrong. That's ok, after they lose in SF their Packers will be just like the Bears - watching the SB.
  11. Perhaps, but Minnesota’s O-Line is trash. Packers line much better IMO. SF pass rush is much better than Seattle', should cause some problems for GB.
  12. I would like to wait to see this game end before assuming the Packers are moving on I could see the Packers getting lit up next week, all the numbers suggest they're an average team, perhaps, the weakest number 2 seed in quite some time. Of course, they'll probably go all 2006 Cardinals (took a quick glance at Baseball-Reference, that was one shitty WS winning team, didn't realize how bad) and win the Super Bowl.
  13. Niners, they're at home and GB's defense is vulnerable.
  14. There's a hold.
  15. If Seattle does not turn the ball over they've got a good chance.
  16. Houston' got go on this 4th they've not come close to stopping KC since the 2nd Q.
  17. Jimmy Garoppolo is not all that good, is he? 49ers better hope its not up to him to win the game.
  18. Illini come up big and beat a very good Rutgers team, had a little bit of a let down after the win at Madison. Nevertheless, they pulled it out while shooting terribly, pounded Rutgers on the boards this was the key to victory. An observation - When Kofi gets the ball at the rim, he's got slam it, there's literally no one who will stop him without fouling. He'll learn.
  19. Just curious, it appears a handful BT teams get 3 consecutive conference home games whereas, everyone else has 2? Maybe the schedules I'm looking at are incorrect but, it appears Iowa, Michigan, MSU have 3.
  20. Well, that streak will be put to bed and an ip (in person?) or SouthSideRyan at Illini BB games winning streak will start.
  21. After this game, them not taking care of business against Rutgers at home would be so Illinois basketball the last decade. I believe the previous game and this game is a start towards consistency in effort, with that, they'll be in the tournament. Rutgers is a big game. They’re a good team, but one we have to beat at home. I really think they’ve turned a corner a bit, but part of me thinks they’ll but punch us not because that’s what they’ve done for the last 15 years. I’m so excited for next year. As long as ayo is the only departure, I think we could be a lot better. I share your trepidation however, in BU first two years they've started BT play 0-4, 3-2 is quite a departure from those last two starts. So, maybe, is safe to say they've turned a corner.
  22. Glad the zebras didn't manufacture a foul on Ayo to bail the Badgers out - [tweet] [/tweet] If anything it's a foul on Davison, love the way Davison runs away with his arms up trying to draw some [expletive] call.
  23. They're still way too inconsistent in effort on a game to game basis. After this game, them not taking care of business against Rutgers at home would be so Illinois basketball the last decade. I believe the previous game and this game is a start towards consistency in effort, with that, they'll be in the tournament.
  24. It all depends on if they can knock down a few outside shots. You will never win a big ten game going 3-26. Also interested in how they can get Giorgi going a little more. He's been in quite the funk as he doesnt really fit the offense at all when Kofi is in the game. Definitely, cannot have the shooting night they did vs. MSU, I do not think they will, they may not shoot lights out but, they won't be as terrible. Finally put an end to that streak!!! Good horsefeathering night Bucky!!!! Really proud of the Illini, fought and fought, one-sided officiating, even on Ayo' game winning 3 Davidson had him hooked.
