After Nagy, if Pace remains I do not believe its a good idea to leave the selection of a HC up to him. They've got to go outside, find someone who'll give them advice, direction on the best fit for a HC. I know there's a best fit, McCaskey's are not capable of locating that best fit, this is a problem.

Trying to play with the after effects of a concussion, it's obvious something' not right, took himself out the game last night. Illini fans dumping all over the kid, let them try and play with lingering effects from a concussion. Fortunately, I've never experienced a concussion, heard from others who have and many say it took several weeks to feel right again.

It's obvious a house cleaning such as the Bulls did is in order for the Bears. Hire a GM, who in turn will hire a HC, etc. and like the Bulls, they'll figure what pieces are worth keeping and build around them. I know the right hires are out there, just don't know if the McCaskey's are capable of identifying them.

Don't know what more evidence is required to fire Nagy this very instance. Is there a more ineffective coach after a bye week than Nagy? I don't care they lost, in fact, its probably for the best they did but, the allowance of repeated late hits and cheap shots on Fields has to stop.

I knew the Spartans really had no chance of stopping the Buckeyes hell, they couldn't contain Purdue, even the lowly Illini held the Boilermakers down and probably should have won that game. But, I did believe the Spartans would score some points.

One rumor going around is that the Bears move Pace up in a director of football operations type of position and potentially hire a GM from within underneath him (Champ Kelly is a popular name here). Part of me really likes this idea. The Bears do actually have a decent scouting department and Kelly is well respected around the league and probably gets some GM interviews this offseason. If the Bears clean house, he won't be jobless for long. Part of me really likes this move. With all going on with a potential new stadium and all Pace has done for the off-field product (Halas Hall), I think some continuity could be a good thing. But also, wouldn't have him as the primary guy selecting his 3rd coach. Is that a legit rumor? I saw someone on twitter talking about this but it was written as if it was an idea they had and not something that was actually rumored. I know that the McCaskey family likes Pace a lot and I'll admit he's done a good bit to modernize the Bears football operations, but I just don't know how it changes anything if he's elevated. Does the new GM have full autonomy over the draft and player moves or would they be Jed to Ryan's Theo? At some point the Bears are going to need draft capital to build around Fields and I think Pace has done a poor job of using his resources efficiently. Because of that, it's hard to look at the Bears future and think that its in good hands with him running the show. He's done a poor jobs of managing resources and hiring head coaches what does that leave? Are these the primary responsibilities of a GM?

granted, that one is more important than like 95% of the rest of those combined. I wouldn't know. The Bears have never had that spot nailed down for a while now. On the plus side its beginning to look as if the most important piece is in place the QB. In terms of degree of difficulty the hardest part is done.
