    To me, this reads like the Bears trying to save face and I do not think Trey Lance will be the answer at QB. I can see it now - Pace trades up, passes on Zach Wilson and Justin Fields for Trey Lance, Wilson ends being the best QB of this draft, Fields ends up being very good, Lance ends up being Trubisky part II. As for 2021, I'm really discouraged at yet another season of no offense hoping the defense will bale them out, horsefeathers this [expletive] is getting old. More and more I'm starting to believe a change in ownership is the only hope for the Bears and seeing a franchise or at, least, a really horsefeathering good QB in Chicago.

    Guess the Bears odds of winning the SB went down after the Dalton signing which I find to be horsefeathering hilarious.

    Say Pace manages to trade up, maybe, even to a place where Wilson or Fields might be available, do we really expect him not to horsefeathers it up again? horsefeathers it up in the sense of paying top much or picking the wrong guy? Or both? Picking the right guy.

    Wilbon going off on Pace and Nagy, it has some merit but, I believe he's incorrect regarding Nagy' unwillingness to coach Trubisky. The simple fact is the NFL is too fast for Trubisky, he's mentally incapable of the type of processing that's necessary for success. No amount of coaching is ever going to fix Trubisky.

    I guess that's a good way to look at it so, assuming Dalton is the starter, is he someone Nagy can "trust" enough to finally see an attempt at an NFL passing game? He doesn't seem much different from a Nick Foles.

    All of these QB rumors surrounding the Bears is much ado about nothing, isn't it? Going to end up with horsefeathering Nick Foles as the Bears QB aren't we?

    I'm not entirely convinced these guys have a 1 year mandate. That's very reasonable, we all think it so and it probably should be so but, with this ownership, who knows.

    Are we rehashing last year? Yea Pace was aggressive and didn't want to wait out the QB market, like he should have. He traded for Foles because the Bengals/Panthers asking prices were too high for Dalton/Newton. But like that's all sunk cost and way too many fans apparently have a view that Foles is just a bed Pace has to lie in and not spend any other money on a QB unless it's Wilson? It's not my fault it's relevant again. Pace made a choice last year that looked dumb at the time and looks even worse in hindsight. My hope was that for scouting/scheme/personnel reasons that would go over my head, Dalton wasn't a fit. But if they bring him in now that's clearly not the case. Dalton works on this roster. He's a quality backup either for a big acquisition or as a caddy for a draft pick. And I assume Dalton + Foles' dead money will be less than Foles salary (and if not, horsefeathering christ Pace). I wouldn't give him the benefit of the doubt, when has Pace ever shown himself to adept or even capable of making a smart move?

    I don't know if it's the Wilson rumors having gotten people's hopes up, but Foles, Dalton, and a draft pick is... A totally reasonable expectation for the QB room having gone into this offseason. And we don't even know what Dalton will cost. I've seen way too many "I don't care if it's only $3M" takes on Twitter. No really 3M for a backup QB is fine. Granted knowing all that I'd have looked towards 2021 as a reset year which doesn't appear to be Paces intent, but like, literally people on Twitter claiming this will have them officially done with Pace. This is about right, we all knew it beyond reasonable to expect something as good as trading for Wilson was going to happen with Pace as the Bears GM. I think, despite the good vibes of flirting with acquiring Wilson, we all really knew nothing good was to coming of Pace' attempts to find another QB. I guess the silver lining is they've retained all the picks plus Pace and company will all be gone after this completely blows up next season and maybe, just maybe, the Bears will get it correct with the next iteration of GM and HC. By the way who is going to be the pick at QB? It's certainly not going to be one of Lawrence, Wilson, Fields, etc. after these what's left?

    Strange flex since they both are. Stop making me dislike the Illini. I caught myself almost rooting for Ohio State today and had to remind myself that I generally like the Illini and I hate Ohio State. Being an innocent bystander in this Michigan hate fest by Illini fans is frustrating since I just want to enjoy my team It's my dislike of Juwan Howard seemingly ducking those games and dissing Northwestern and Maryland along the way. I don't believe he's this sanctimonious great guy the media falls all over themselves to portray either, I'm probably wrong. It's just my irrational hatred of the Fab Five coming through.

    Really thought the Illini we're going to bury them, give OSU credit but, I think the Illini let up a bit. Plus Washington couldn't miss seems for the whole horsefeathering tournament. Hey, Juwan who's the Big Ten Champions?

Probably won't be a bad at rebounding either, with his size, mass and smarts he'll do OK on the boards. Kofi's more athletic, if he can develop a three ball and little jumper, he's looking at the first round for certain. Iowa sucks. It's BS that he can get away with that horsefeathers, but we had that weak ass flagrant called on us to let them back into the game. And those squawkeye fan are still bitching about the officiating, face it squawkeyes, the Illini are simply stronger, faster, better than you.

    The combination of Weber and Groce really set the program back, Weber - good coach who couldn't use 2005 to cash in on the recruiting trail, Groce - neither a good coach nor recruiter.

    Frazier knocking that Bohannon attempt back in his face must have been sweet for him. Think it was Frazier freshman year in which the squawkeyes set a BTT 3 point shooting record vs. the Illini.

No slight to U of M but, Livers is their best player and, unlike the Illini without Ayo, Wolverines have a quick turn around without their best player. We’ll see. While livers is their best player it’s also the position they have the most depth to replace. The CBS guys are saying this injury occurred early in the Illinois game which would help explain why Michigan has not looked as dominant since that game. Livers has mostly been standing in the corner and getting burned on defense. Maybe replacing him with Johns and Brown has UM play at a level between their early year dominance and the mediocre 2-2 record since then. I’d take the Illini tomorrow and feel confident about it but I wouldn’t called Illinois-Iowa the effective championship game. We’ll see though UM may get blown out right now and then this looks stupid edit: Nevermind that was a putrid performance and they are clearly missing livers ugh Do not understand, why not go to Dickinson? EJ Liddell is literally pissing the game away, I'm certain he'd done something stupid had Dickinson got the ball. Smith clearly is not your best option U of M.

    I really wish we could get a resolution on Wilson so I could know what to root for. Like, if we're actually getting him, then yeah let's do every restructure and every cap saving move possible. Because of the league-wide cap issues, we're going to see a ton of quality players take 1 year deals in a good situation and re-enter the market next year. If we've got Wilson, we're a prime spot for those guys. Don't stress about losing depth because like you said we can probably replace guys for less, and maybe even upgrade while doing so. But if we're not getting a star at QB, I have little appetite for pushing current cap pain forward into future seasons. I don't want to make future seasons worse for the sake of putting a slightly better team around Teddy Bridgewater. Well said, I believe we're all tried of seeing good defense, pathetic offense Bear teams, do what it takes to get a real NFL QB. A QB opponents are going to take seriously, for once, if you have to give Roquan then do it, he and a good defense will be wasted on a team with Bridgewater/Mariotta/Darnold as the QB anyway.

    Illini get Rutgers tonight, little apprehensive, being their first game and with such high expectations this could be the toughest of the BTT for them. Not to mention Ron Harper Jr. turns into horsefeathering Michael Jordan every time they face the Illini and Rutgers did beat them in December. In that game Rutgers somehow got to the line 36 times, got to literally grab and hang on Kofi (there's a video of Mulcahy getting a jump ball call after grabbing and hanging on Kofi' arm), got a phantom flagrant foul call on Williams during a FT attempt and of course, Harper Jr. went off for 28 points.
