Bears receivers, on the whole, are worth horsefeathers, they're not helping Fields out, cannot consistently get open, multiple drops, I'm very much for trading Robinson. He's playing terribly, Nagy is certainly to blame however, he just flat out sucks.

There's a large body of evidence to suggest a big offensive leap coinciding with an improving Fields is never going to happen with Nagy. Today' NFL is all about offense, seems 3/4 of league with various weaknesses and strengths can still move the ball and score points at will, it starts at the top. Honestly, is it Nagy's full part? The Bears couldn't get a consistently good offense with Lovie Smith. They couldn't get a consistently good offense with Matt Trestman. They couldn't get a consistently good offense with John Fox (lol). They haven't been able to get a consistently good offense with Nagy. Talent acquisition has to be a huge part of the problem here. Agreed a large part of the blame is on Pace as well, that's why they both should be shown the door after this season.

I still remember, a long long time ago, watching a Cubs / Brewers game and some typical idiot Bear fan gets in a shouting match with a Brewer fan. At the time Rodgers had just been drafted and this guy goes "Rodgers? That's your QB now! Hahah!" ...I'll wait for the Jordan Love era to begin before I make any judgements about him. But I agree, one of the most maddening things about the Packers is how many mediocre players they make look really good. It's a tribute to them, but I'll admit to jealousy over that. And I do hope it comes to an end when Rodgers is gone. When Rodgers hasn't been able to play, the true mediocrity of the Packers has been revealed. So we'll see. I remember waiting years and years for Favre to finally show his age and breakdown, relishing the fact that there is no way they struck gold on a QB twice, especially someone who slipped in the draft and was sitting on the bench for the past 2 seasons. While it can be notoriously difficult to draft and develop a legit franchise QB, it is becoming more and more clear to me just how much organizations can up the odds. Favre to Rodgers, Brady to Mac Jones (I know, still pretty early but dude is head and shoulders above the other 2021 rookie QBs so far), Peyton to Luck, Reid-era Smith to Mahomes, heck even Romo to Dak. That's why I'm not convinced Love will be a bust and its why I'm concerned about Nagy developing a talent like Fields. If Fields hasn't made significant strides by the end of the season, I really really hope they fire Nagy regardless of record. If you blow this with Fields it will be a long time before I can get excited about anything related to the Bears. I think this loss and the next one coming up in GB has sealed Nagy' fate, he's done after this season. Remaining question is whether Pace follows him - I think he should.

Because Nagy doesn't get it, there's got to be someone out there who does and would take off with Fields as his QB thereby making the NFC Central theirs. I know its currently pretty grim but, the day is near when the Bears are going to have the best QB in the division and Packers, Lions and Vikings will be in QB waste land and its going to be oh so great. For perspective, teams are 93-364 since the start of the 2019 season when scoring fewer than 20 points. A 0.204 win percentage. The Bears have scored less than 20 points on 22 different times (in 38 games!) and are actually 8-14 in those games for a 0.364 win percentage. Expected W/L in these games would be 4-18. Since the same point, teams are 465-180 (0.721) when they allow 24 or fewer points. The Bears are just 16-12 (.571) when this happens. And 28 of 38 games have had points allowed within this threshold! Expected W/L in these games would be 20-8. So, the Bears have what amounts to an 11-12 win defense (70% of the time), while fielding a 3-4 win offense (60% of the time) over the last 2 1/3 seasons. The results? A perfect split of the difference at 19-19. Great post. The bottom line has always been simple and still the Bears just can’t get their arms around it: The offense isn’t good enough. Except for 2018 - they need to score more points. That’s it. It’s not complicated. It’s the NFL in 2021, you can’t expect to be a winning football team if you aren’t putting up 20+ consistently (and occasionally 30 or 40). There will never be an 85 Bears D or a Ravens 2001 D or even a 2006 Bears D type super bowl again. Gotta roll with the times. Yeah.....I'm not going to jail over a damn sports game. But to each his own. And he does own the Bears. As for the bad calls, yeah there were a bunch of them..... - Taunting call against Edwards, weak call but Edwards has a history (3 this season in 4 games) and it was the 1st play, gave them extra yards not necessarily drive changing probably would have scored anyway (of course would have if they called Rodgers for grabbing his facemask first, but that's literally never called on a QB) - backward run by Packers that somehow got a 1st down (of course it was 2nd and 1, they would have picked it up eventually) - holding call on Mustipher that wasn't a hold (Bears still scored a TD on that drive) - Packers got called for OPI in the endzone, which was very weak and they actually lost 4 points from that call. The only 1 really mattered was the neutral zone infraction. Fields rightfully thought he had a free play and threw up some crap. Of course, if Allen Robinson doesn't give up on his big armed, 4.4 running QB as he's escaping the pocket, he might have been able to make a play or get a DPI (his effort has been ass, I hope they look to trade him before the deadline). I'm with you on Robinson, throw in Jackson as well, anywhere but the Packers. Because, with a probability of one, they'll magically turn into professional football players once those shitheads acquire them.

That's OK, him and the Packers will get their asses kicked in the playoffs and they'll end winning just as many SB's the season as the Bears will - 0. In facing playoff teams they don't have the luxury of opposition coaching ineptness and cowardice the Bears provide, bites them in the ass every time and will again this season.

I'd say they'd lose to TB, LA or ARI 10 out of 10 times, I'm bitter because the game was there for the Bears to win.

I think he improve on both of those facets, its there, he's not the dumb ass Mitch is, it'll get there, sucks they lost to a pretty ordinary team that just happens to have a great QB. Cannot wait for the day when Rodgers is gone, its coming soon.

He’s been such a terrible tackler this year. Earlier he let Aaron Jones drag him for 10 extra yards because he was trying to rip the ball away from him. It’s been a few years. He has no pride as a football player. He’d be gone if he didn’t have a big contract. Nagy punted two drives ago in GB territory. That was the game. Yes, had they gone for it, probably would have made it, and probably would have had an excellent chance at putting up another TD.

Really don't know why Eddie Jackson continues to start let alone play, he needs to be benched in the worst way.

Simple answer Nagy is playing "not to lose" which means take no chances, be conservative, play field position, etc. never mind that to beat these fucks you're going to have to be aggressive and take some chances. It's soooooo easy to coach against a Nagy team, you don't have worry about them going for it, he's predictably pathetic.

Guess they applied some physics, with such a trajectory there's a good chance it was going to be out the park, Tropicana Field ground rules.

Additionally, think there's a pretty good chance they'll finish with more October victories than the White Sox.

Even with Kershaw and Muncy Dodgers should be heavy favorites, Giants may have had the better, by one game, regular season but, they are not the better team. The Giants are a one season phenomenon, I'd say they are excellent candidates for 30+ game swing next season - 100+ wins to 70+ and out the playoffs next season. Still, why can't this kind of Giants gypsy magic [expletive] happen for the Cubs, just once? I'd take it. A 30 game swing for the Cubs' current roster puts them at .500 for next year. Ok, I had 30+ above, you're correct, was not thinking in terms of 15-15 which would put them at 86-76, no? How about a 50+ game swing, would that work?

And unfortunately, I think they have the advantage against the Belt-less Giants too. How confident are you in Dalton against the Raiders D? Not at all, in fact, Dalton at QB would be just the tonic, get back, feel good about themselves the Raiders' D needs. Dalton starting does not give the Bears a chance to win, it's an automatic loss.

Didn't see anything special from the Raiders, their defense is not good, if the Bears can give Justin some decent protection. He'll gash them, there's no reason to believe Mooney won't continue to run by people and we've seen, thankfully and it's about horsefeathering time, that the Bears have a QB who can actually hit on the deep ball. Unlike recent times opponents are going to have to respect the Bears ability to go deep.

I'm not here to form opinions on Fields right now because it's way too early. But I don't get why Bears fans are acting like Fields is some sure thing. I don't think anyone has said he's a sure thing. What Bears fans are "acting like" is open to interpretation. But what is clear is he is the most talented QB the Bears have ever had on the roster in their 102 years of existence. But I also think most of us are aware what happened to the last guy that with great talent (Cutler). I don't think Fields is a sure thing, but he's as close to a sure thing as the Bears have ever had And if he fails, I think it will say more about the organization as a whole than him as a talent. Today was exhibit A, sure Garrett had and the Browns D had a great day, blah, blah, blah but, Nagy was 80% of reason why they had such a great day.

They handed the ball off to Montgomery 10 times all game. In their rookie QBs’ first start, the Bears only handed the ball off to their best offensive player 10 times. And they weren’t down by enough points to justify not running the ball. I went into the game thinking there would be a lot more straight up runs and a lot more run pass options or gadget plays. Far fewer drop back passes. I can’t even conceive why Nagy thought this would work. I honestly believe Nagy has no clue as to what will work against anyone.

What exactly is roughing the passer? Bears get called for falling on the QB, Browns, on more than one occasion, hit Fields late and in the head and that's OK?

Quinn with a sack, WTF? Feels like its his first positive play as a Bear. Sort of like the one game Danny Jackson, as a Cub, managed to be effective for 6 innings.

Of course it did, very frustrating, there's myriad of ways one can be aggressive on offense in today' NFL regardless of the offensive line, we'll never see with Nagy. He's too scared, conservative to go down swinging, thinks his play not lose, limit mistakes approach is going to save his job which, it won't, in fact, it'll do the opposite and cost him his job. What was the point of Pace trying to upgrade speed at the receiving spots again?
