  1. Eleventy squillion to one.
  2. Of course there is a subjective scale. It was a very light hit, the softest one I have ever seen that resulted in a concussion. You could tell Jay gave up in the first half. This was his way out of the game. He is making a statement to Lovie and Jerry. I'm confused as to how having the back of your head smack against the turf is soft. Because it wasn't slammed that hard against the turf. This sort of stuff happens on every play. Maybe he hit it just right? I don't know.
  3. ERIK HATES HIM SOME CHICAGO BEARS!!! On a serious note, combining your comment with the fact that you think the Packers are better than Bears, does this mean you think the Lions are better than the Packers? By your logic, that is what you're suggesting. Also, the Bears dominated the Lions and barely won despite their own turnovers. The Packers were pretty much dominated BY the Lions but won because of the Lions turnovers. If you can't distinguish between those two scenarios then I don't know what to tell you. I was mainly comparing Monday Night's Packers-Bears game to the Packers-Lions game today.
  4. Both teams struggled to beat the Lions at home, yes. But that was not the only reason I feel the Packers are better than the Bears. Although they certainly didn't play like it this week.
  5. Being an Eagles QB can be hazardous to your health.
  6. We struggled to beat the Lions at home. The Lions had a buttload of penalties, giving us a bunch of free yardage, and we just barely hung on for the win at home in a game we should have put away with all the help we got from the opposition. Hrm.... where have we heard this before? The Packers didn't win that game. The Lions lost it. And I'm not too proud to admit it.
  7. They SHOULD have won that Week 1 game. But we won't talk about that. ;)
  8. Whew. Escaped with our lives on that one.
  9. Yeah, they're starting to get their act together Funny what happens when you actually get some competent people in your front office.
  10. This. The Lions are looking like the Packers did on Monday in terms of penalties and are still hanging around. We should be dominating this game.
  11. Go Pads and Braves! I want to see the 3 way tie!
  12. Just bumping this thread because I always think its interesting to see how predictions panned out after the season.
  13. So what's the scenario if all 3 tie?
  14. I've got no qualms with how Quade has run the club since taking over. I don't need a big-name manager in here next year, just someone who knows what the heck he's doing!
  15. Do you really believe that he didn't know where he was going until the day of his special? Or do you believe he's a lying bastard who was stretching things out because he loved the attention? No, I thought he knew exactly where he was going. Like I said, I didn't like the TV special and thought it was completely unnecessary. However, I have no issue with him leaving Cleveland in pursuit of a title like other people seem to, and I'm not going to hate him just for the poor decision of having the TV special. It's not the decision to leave Cleveland that bothers me (I sure would have). I don't even begrudge him heading to Miami to play with his buddies, make mint and live the south beach life. And probably win a title or two along the way. What bothers me was the grandstanding, posturing, lying and outright deceipt about his intentions for multiple weeks. All so unnecessary and obviously due to his ego and attention-loving self. And I can certainly see your side of it and completely understand why you'd feel that way. I guess we'll never know exactly when it came to be that Miami was a done deal, or if he was thinking about Chicago, the Knicks, etc when they courted him. If he was just stringing them along that really sucks. I don't begrudge anyone for thinking he's egotistical about the TV special, and if he really did know all along then it's deserved. My main point though was that a lot of the LeBron hate seems like sour grapes because he didn't come to your favorite team. I'm not just talking about here on NSBB, I'm talking about everyone everywhere. Chicago would love him if he was a Bull. He'd be the toast of New York if he'd be a Knick. Everyone else would hate him still, but those particular fanbases would love him.
  16. The only team that has been more disappointing with a large payroll than the Cubs have been the Mets during the Minaya era.
  17. Yes, I'm aware. So you'd be comfortable giving Beltre multiple years at $10 million + annually? Ugh, no thank you.
  18. Do you really believe that he didn't know where he was going until the day of his special? Or do you believe he's a lying bastard who was stretching things out because he loved the attention? 19. Was that the year Terry Pendelton won it?
  20. That dude sucks.
  21. The only issue I have with LeBron is the TV special. I have no problems with him wanting to go to a team where he felt he'd have the best chance of winning a title. I never did understand the criticism about him leaving Cleveland in pursuit of a title. Superstar players switch teams sometimes. They don't get half the flack that he did for it. But I can forgive him for the TV special and I'm willing to move on with my life. It seems a lot of people aren't, however.
  22. LOL THERE WAS A TYPO ZOMG! I MUST POINT IT OUT TO THE ENTIRE INTERNET! Like I said... trying to pick fights on the internet. You guys are awesome. Always good for some free entertainment. I think the saying goes "Fighting on the internet is like the Special Olympics: Even if you win, you're still [expletive]." This thread has the distinction of being the only NSBB thread I've ever bookmarked. It's just been that much darn fun! Don't stop now!
