  1. That was horrible. OT, but who's gonna replace McAllister on the Saints?
  2. Shocked that Johnson is back out there. I'd have figured they'd have gone to someone else by now.
  3. Uh oh. Yankees starting to turn it on. Say what you want about them, they can turn on a dime and come out of nowhere to take the lead and get back in the game.
  4. Santana shouldn't be in there past this inning.
  5. That's because your team is usually involved in the playoffs  Its actually been pretty heartbreaking. Yeah. Getting to the World Series must really suck.
  6. Rod Beck had a funny quote once. A reporter once asked him why he really wasn't in good shape, and if he worried about pulled muscles and such and he said "I'd never heard of anyone on the DL with pulled fat."
  7. Especially when there are two so evenly matched teams.
  8. Would love a hit here to bust this game wide open.
  9. Ya gotta figure Big Ugly's only gonna be in there another inning. Two, tops.
  10. this has been a good 2 1/2 hrs tho... The Angels pitcher works about as fast as Trachsel.
  11. Let me just say you're doing a hell of a job and I'm glad NSBB is back up. Granted, it wasn't down that long, but I needed my fix!
  12. How long is Johnson good for? You gotta think at least 3-4 innings.
  13. Anyone else have a Steve Bartman flashback with that one?
  14. I didn't like him the first two years or so when he was trying way too hard to be another Harry, but he grew on me his last few years here. The two years he spent beside Joe Carter made me realize how bad he really could have been.
  15. Did you get that little tiff with your old company worked out?
  16. Ok, Fred, now what are the stats when each team holds the opposition to 4 runs or less?
  17. What was the last postseason game to be rained out and rescheduled?
  18. That was a homer, though, not a triple.
  19. I used to be the biggest Cubs homer and the biggest optimist there ever was. It truly was sickening. But I stopped after I was tired of getting my heart ripped out and stomped on year after year. I figure it's a waste of time to be optimistic anymore with this team. You can be hopeful, but don't expect much. That way it doesn't hurt when they let you down, and if they have a good season, it's a pleasant surprise.
  20. Go Angels!! Part of me was rooting for the White Sox simply because if the Yankees won we'd constantly be hearing about the Yanks and Red Sox again. I'd love to stick it to ESPN and have White Sox/Angels. Of course I'd love for the White Sox to be swept in 4, or lose in 7 and choke it away, painfully.
  21. Varitek swinging at a pitch at his eyes. Wonder if he took advice from Corey Patterson before the game.
  22. You'll hardly notice the Red Sox bias from him....... I was just jumping on to say the same thing. Could he be rooting for the Red Sox any more? Good lord. And ESPN in general is really skewing this telecast towards Boston. The mid game highlight package was "Chicago lead early, blah, blah but look at these Boston HOMERS! WOW! Oh, and they are losing again, but HOW ABOUT MANNY AND PAPI?" And thats why I'm so sick of hearing about the Red Sox and Pats. Just pray the Celtics don't get good again.
  23. I don't think they'd want an over the hill pitcher for $9 million a year.
  24. Right now they are discussing a multi year contract for the multi purposed Macias. What worries me is who Hendry confides in....Hughes. This and Baker may make any good move difficult. These guys still live in the 70's. Please tell me your'e kidding, Cuse. I just heard the same thing on ESPN Radio... :) If they re-up Macias Hendry should be fired on the spot. There is no need for Macias to even be on a Major League roster. He's one of Dusty's boys, and if he's re-signed then it's obvious that Baker, and not Hendry, is calling the shots. *sighs and points to sig*
