  1. The remainder of the staff I would like to see... Marinelli -DL Kris Richard - Secondary Bissaccia-ST
  2. I can't believe the 49ers fired TE coach Jon Embree. But... Comes from the Shanahan tree with the ability to develop TEs?
  3. To quote Will Farrell... "No one knows what it means but it's provocative, gets the people going". I'm getting optimistic off the fluff only to be disappointed.
  4. The Blackhawks are making Penn State look classy at this point.
  5. I would bet Gattis given how late it is in the process. Personally, I think Hart is the best long term option. Campbell is probably the best of dream scenarios, although I can't see him leaving similar to Fleck or Stoops also likely staying put.
  6. I mean if Olave drops, okay. But he isn't Chase, like you said. I'm generally a proponent of "surround your QB with weapons" though. Shore up Center and make a decision on Daniels/Whitehair (but I don't think the gross investment has to be large) to make the line solidly median. But it's a pretty interesting WR FA class too. And at 39 it's just so hard to bank on too much. And if nothing matters more to Fields development than legit weapons, grab certainty in FA. I figure they need to go 3 deep if Getsy prefers to run 11 personnel, as I've read. So grab two strong weapons next to Mooney. If an Olave drops its a great addition and you run 4 deep for 3 spots. But your Fields support isn't dependent on it then. You're way more confident in Jenkins and Borom than me.
  7. It could be Poles had his guy and didn't feel the need to interview rather than being cheap. The Bears were interviewing coaches before Poles was hired Yep. And they let Poles interview and pick who he wanted. I'm sure had he wanted to, he would have been able to inquire about Harbaugh.
  8. Why interview a $1K hooker if all you have in your pocket is $60? Because the Bears have plenty of money. If you have a few billion to build a new stadium, you have enough to pay a coach. It could be Poles had his guy and didn't feel the need to interview rather than being cheap.
  9. I was more concerned about the Bears continuing to lack in scouting and analytics than experience. If you can get Biscassia for ST and maybe Marinelli for the D-Line, you'll have experience.
  10. If Getsy is the OC, I'm hoping Vikings QB coach Andrew Janocko (who has worked with Getsy) becomes the QB coach.
  11. For the couple to several of years it'll take the Bears to become good (if ever) Harbaugh will have peaked and burned. If Rodgers leaves the NFC North, the division is up for grabs right now. Harbaugh is clearly the best candidate if he was available and did wonders with Kaepernick. We'll have to agree to disagree as far as him being the best available. Even if the division is up for grabs, it says more about the division rather than the Bears being good. I don't think Harbaugh is that difference to make them like the Packers have been. If GB loses Rodgers and Adams, Minnesota is the best team regardless of coach, IMO.

  13. Agreed, I can't see the Browns granting a lateral move. What would you think of the duo Dan Roushar (NIU alum NIU/Illini coach) and Brendan Nugent (Former Bears coach) from the Saints?

    NFL Playoffs 2022

If the Bears had a full team of practice squad players playing, I'd watch it.
  16. I'll make a random and incorrect guess ... Shane Day will become new OC (former Bears QB coach who coached Jay) and Chandler Whitmer will be the QB coach who coached Fields at OSU.
  17. viewtopic.php?f=44&t=3553&p=432279&hilit=Eberflus#p432279 I wanted this hire pre-Fields which shifted my preference and like the hire still, now the OC...
  18. So who picked up Eberflus from the airport tonight? https://victoryautowreckers.com/
  19. I think it's a good hire and hope it's an offensive minded coach. They seem like they want an experienced HC which I don't agree with but Caldwell is the best of the bunch. My only request is that he hangs onto and promotes Champ Kelly.

Give each team one chance of a possession. This should be the end of this stupid rule.

I'm hoping the Rams win 45-42.

    NFL Playoffs 2022

Minus the Bears knocking them out of the playoffs, yesterday won't get any better. Get him out of here, ASAP. He's the MVP two years in a row. I'll take my chances with Love and their financial situation.

It was extra satisfying to see him do it. That entire game the 49ers offense played like the Bears. I also can't believe they blitzed as much as they did and didn't get burned.
