  1. Of course, Vandy wins by 53.
  2. I would like to see the Bears go after Mims from NYJ. I liked him out of Baylor and it's hard to judge him given the lack of QB play targeting him.
  3. UConn is only down 4 into the 4th. Line was + 23.5.
  4. Wise move. This and the Vandy/Hawaii seem to be the 2 gimmes this week. Parlayed Vandy and Illinois against the spread too. This one was too easy so that one will be over before the kickoff in Hawaii. Lol. I also think UConn will cover vs Utah State. But, I can never bet on UConn to cover.
  5. Wise move. This and the Vandy/Hawaii seem to be the 2 gimmes this week.
  6. At least it will be a love that is rational...
  7. I will be so disappointed when they let Contreras and Happ walk in back to back years. Inexcusable.
  8. Some Youtube QB breakdowner said the same thing, about him going through his progressions too quickly, and showed some examples. I'd be curious which ones they highlighted, there was one where he went right to the back as well as the scrambles that were his poorest decisions, IMO. He's not Lamar Jackson, I'd rather see him be a pocket passer who can rollout and run; compared to a runner who can throw.
  9. Finally got a chance to see Fields' performance from Saturday. His mechanics are much smoother with his arm action and his footwork is much improved. I thought the offense looked like an actual offense with designed to get WRs open and put Fields in a spot to succeed. There were some negatives. It seemed like Fields went through his progressions too quickly rather than let the play develop and also looked to scramble instead of looking downfield earlier in the play than he needed to. He still shows signs of elite QB, only 3-4 other QBs could have made that throw to Sharpe (I'm not sure Brady has the arm strength). I was pleasedwith him overall, unfortunately he's going to have to be good to great without a supporting cast.
  10. His body type and swing remind me of a different #20.
  11. Also, look at the Browns 1st 6 games. I could get Clev to 3-3 with that schedule.
  12. I'd still trade Heyward straight up right now.
  13. Raisin, take a well deserved day off.
  14. Horton shouldn't be anywhere near slot, at least I'd hope. He's a 20yo projected in the top half of the 1st round while rising quickly. It would not be completely shocking.
  15. If they went the discount route on Horton to go overslot at 2, I'm somewhat glad they went with a higher upside rather than safe. With that said... With Lee there, you scrap those plans and go BPA. If they sign both picks for slot, I'll be disappointed.
  16. Porter Hodge proving he belongs in the top 30.
  17. I have it recording now. Can't wait.
  18. It's more sad they have more talent both in the short and long terms. Of course, they're still the worst team in the division regardless.
  19. At this point, I'd consider calling up Uelmen and seeing how well his sinker translates to major league hitters.
  20. Prospect. He needs to still get stronger but has the ability to play CF.
  21. My top 10 PCA Alcantara Hernandez Davis Killan Triantos Made Herz Wicks Caissie
  22. I would love to see a relegation type scenario for college football.
  23. Trade Ortega for an organizational piece and use him as an utility OFer or as a starter until the next option is better than Heyward.
  24. Opponents have a .467 OPS against Herz this year. I mentioned Crook in the minor league musings thread, it should be noted that he has started the last 2 games at 1B.
  25. I'm trying to figure out Narciso Crook at Iowa. I doubt he'll make the major league roster before September given Nelly is currently there (should be starting at Iowa, IMO), Suzuki should be back soon, Ortega proving ok as a 4th, and they'll never cut Heyward. He was drafted at 17 yo out of a small JUCO in the 23rd rd and signed for 100k. He was mishandled by the Reds, rushed to Low-A at 19, and struggled to progress and eventually granted FA. Plus raw power, probably won't hit for avg, corner defense OFer with a below avg arm strength. It does appear that his BP power is finally translating to the game. He's probably some type of RH'ed OF platoon/PH (who hits righties better than lefties) at his best and a minor league filler at his worst.
