  1. As a proponent of Leftwich, Im drawn to several things... 1) His traits match the strengths of Fields and the offense. I think he's shown to extend defenses with a vertical attack combined with a heavy usage with 1 or more TEs. (Kmet might be the 2nd best receiver next year). Leftwich has adjusted his scheme for the strength of his QB but even with Rosen to Brady still was successful throwing deep. We obviously haven't seen any adjustments from Nagy whether it's been from Daniel to Fields. I also am impressed by the Bucs use of the screen. 2) I think there is value in being a leader, it's one of Fields' greatest traits in a similar manner that has followed Leftwich both as a player and coach. 3) Somewhat back to #1, Leftwich has been effective as a playcaller ranking top 5 in efficiency. He's my 1st choice as previously stated, so I'm obviously biased.
  2. It was definitely the right decision to go for 2 and as previously mentioned, a horseshit play call. On the 1st drive of the game, would you have gone for the TD or kicked the FG?
  3. Why? I thought they should have taken the 3, I was fine with the earlier 4th down conversion on the 1st drive but I thought it was too far out (with a condensed field) to get the TD.
  4. Also if you want to criticize Harbaugh for being overaggressive, not going for the FG on the 1st drive was worse than the 2 pt conversion.
  5. *shrug* don't know what you're not following The calculus of the Ravens there must have been based on Rodgers. You make that decision when you aren’t confident that you can stop the opposing QB. So they feared Rodgers and thought, 40 seconds, we can probably keep Rodgers from the FG. If it’s any “normal” team I’d agree it was weird. But here, I liked the decision. I would have gone for it as well, I just would not have called a play that cuts the field in half (already shortened).
  6. I'm indifferent on Desai whether or not the new HC wants to keep him.
  7. There's a lack of former big named coaches but the season hasn't concluded. I think the names of coordinators ready to take the next step is average. Then you'll have Day and Harbaugh mentioned from the collegiate ranks.
  8. The play calling stunk of Nagy.
  9. With Winston and his 30 INTs, they still finished 3rd in the NFL in total offense. Brady is about to have the best year of his career in a system designed by Leftwich.
  10. I'm not sure what there is for you like so much, but I blame him for the defenses struggles closing out games. Maybe that's unfair, but he doesn't stile me as someone I'd hang onto if Nagy and Co go. I want/expect a clean slate so I'm fine with him not being back in 2022, but I think he has a future in this league. Wildcard though is a Greg Roman hire who has worked a lot with Fangio and may like to hire from that tree.... There's a lot of smart football fans here who have Roman as their #1 and I'm not in that boat. He's an obvious upgrade but I'm still higher on Leftwich, Daboll, previously mentioned Glenn, and Bowles ahead of Roman. Lamar is an elite athlete who's still developing as a QB in an offense dedicated to the run. There's a legit possibility he's fired as OC this off-season.
  11. I'm glad I was cooking during most of that. I don't know what is worse... Nagy with a QB he feels comfortable with so he can throw it 75% of the time despite them sucking or a QB he can't scheme for. My odd observation from this game is that Aaron Glenn is my 3rd choice for Bears HC.
  12. Mack is out for the year with foot surgery.

    NFL Week 9

Last QB to get shutout in their 1st start.... Johnny Football.

    NFL Week 9

I don't know what's more enjoyable... Rodgers being a Trumper or Love looking like he's been coached by Nagy.
  15. How the horsefeathers can the NHL only give the Hawks a 2 million dollar fine? The Devils received a lot worse 10 years ago for violating the salary cap and not children. I was always more of a casual fan of the Hawks (Larmer and Secord were my favorite players) but even as a passive fan, I'm out. Unless they sell and completely turnover this roster, nothing can redeem them from being the rapists they currently are.
  16. This generation's Brian Roberts.
  17. It'll be another 10 years, 4 coaches and two GMs of this.
  18. Right now, yes. Long-term? Hope not
  19. No, it was overthrown.
  20. That INT was a combo of no oline, not enough protection and a panic decision by Fields. Hopefully Nagy and Pace are gone before Fields is ruined.
  21. This game was over before it started. The haves vs the have nots.
  22. Fields' instincts have to get better. Awareness and lack of an internal clock are his worst enemies.
  23. I feel odd saying this but I hope it's not Stubby Clapp who by all accounts might be their best choice.
  24. Stephon Gilmore would look amazing in Chicago that would lock down 2 solid CBs and two pass rushers.
  25. If the Cardnials and their devil magic knock off a 106 win Dodger team, this will be the end of the current playoff format as we know it. It might be anyway after the CBA. I have future bets on the Astros 25-1 to win the WS and Braves 14-1 so hopefully one of them wins. Otherwise, Tampa would be fine. I hate to say it but the Cards straight up is a solid bet right now.
