  1. His arm action might lead him to the pen but his stuff might translate to a lefty version of Matt Clement. There's probably only a handful of starters over the last 20 years who had over 20 starts and struck out 3x more batters than hits allowed.
  2. I didn't expect Ark/UGA to be under 2 TDs but this has been ugly.
  3. I'd include Herz in that group.
  4. I can only hope when he dies that Dawson's funeral home hosts it.
  5. The end game is correct but the reasoning is wrong.
  6. I didn't see any play action either.
  7. I'm for anything that'll overhaul this organization. If 1-16 increases those chances so be it. Bears won't win with Nagy/Pace.
  8. Go for it you dolts.
  9. He did and then the Chiefs pulled play calling away from him It was less than a month.
  10. Next time they hire an "offensive guru": make sure has called plays before.
  11. He might be worth it but I wouldn't trade anything for him. LA should non-tender him since he has 2 years left of team control and should get around 20 mil next year. Even a team well over the luxury tax isn't that irresponsible. Cubs will be bad enough to where they can afford to watch him struggle and not impact the standings. I imagine that many other teams think the same.
  12. Toronto gives me reason to watch the playoffs.
  13. Pinango's tough. I'm generally one to pound the table for guys who succeed at a good age relative to their league, but his defensive ceiling is probably as an adequate corner outfielder and he hits WAY too much on the ground to get to any of his power. He's probably something like Maikel Franco but has enough shot at being Yordan Alvarez that I'm certainly watching him closely. I have him at #23 on the list I'm working on, but think you could argue him like 10 spots higher if you wanted. I have Piñango in the teens because of the ARL. I'm not as concerned about the groundball/power because I think the organization will continue to work on his swing and valued him enough to promote him to high-A at 19. Agreed. Right now, he's in the 15-20 range.
  14. Plenty have fallen sans Davis to put Triantos in the top 5.
  15. I declined mine. I guess you're welcome.
  16. Just finished watching Fresno State and UCLA. Sorry Navin, that's the best game of the year.
  17. My turn is coming up. I'm going to probably decline since I'm still 5-10 years away from retirement. Financially, it'll be too much of loss to sell about 10k- 20k worth of tickets of a bad product every year until then. Oh yeah, I horsefeathering hate the Ricketts too.
  18. What a mess. Only the Bears can be bad at the most important position on offense and defense. Dalton is a QB who can get you 10 wins with a great defense and 4 with a bad one. I have no clue how they could not prioritize Fuller and watching him and the Broncos secondary excel (I know it was against NYG) proved it. The NFL is designed to where the DBs are more valuable to creating a pass rush than a DL given doubles and chipping someone like Mack. Yet, the Bears have only one true starter in Johnson and the rest is bad. Montgomery was amazing, the interior blocked great and Williams is a solid backup. Borom didn't play much but I thought he looked better than I expected. Frustrating. The inability to create a functional roster is numbing but expected.
  19. Can enjoy it for a couple hours. 1st place feels pretty damn good.
  20. Leigh signed for 50k.
  21. Don't sweat the draft pick drama. If you're banking on the draft position of 5 compared to 12 as the key component, you're already in baseball hell. Also, even a good season doesn't have many walkoff HRs, enjoy it. With a roster this bad, why micromanage it? The macro tells you everything.
  22. You forgot, “…led by backup and future HoF’er Jordan Love.” 8-) Take it to the Packers thread. Anyone who starts a Packers' thread in any positive way.... Should be banned. They should only be mentioned when they lose in the NFC title game.
  23. He's never been a power pitcher in the era for that. He's 90-94 sitting in the low 90s, marginal slider with a fringy change.
  24. Kevin Ibach please.
  25. nah. sorry, this is silly. the dude is ready. you don't waste a cheap rookie contract year at the most important position in sports. if he's good, he covers up a lot of bad. and i'm pretty sure he's horsefeathering good. It would be wasting a season if they are a contender.or they didn't have 16 or so mil locked up with Dalton and Foles as far as utilizing Fields like Seattle did. However, the line is trash and the Bears aren't going to win regardless of how he plays.
