  1. You've been drinking, too! 😉
  2. Kmet hasn't been a target. Not his fault. He's been needed as a blocker a lot more often than he should. The fact that Moore is even walking... let alone playing in the NFL... is a testament to his character. The guy's been beaten down on so many occasions and still gets back into it. He hasn't been paid enough for the beating he's taken.
  3. I'm just frustrated. With everything. Coaches, players, referees, front office... you name it. Actually... I feel real sorry for the players. They have to put their bodies and reputations on the line for the horrendous coaching and game-planning day in and day out. They're being put in impossible positions by people (coaches and front office) who are... by all metrics... being totally outclassed despite being at a talent level on par with (the offensive line notwithstanding) the vast majority of their opponents. I've been drinking. Hope this made sense. TLDR; It sucks. It all sucks.
  4. This Georgia-Georgia Tech game puts the NFL overtime rules to shame. This finish is incredible!
  5. The presser gave them time to clean out Eberflus' desk.
  6. Yes, there aren't any good internal options to take over for the remainder of the season. But the remainder of the season is already lost. The players want change. They'd probably prefer Eric the Clown over Eberflus at this point. Respect the players. Fire Eberflus.
  7. Press conference at Halas Hall this morning. No confirmation on the time; initially scheduled for 9am.
  8. Eberflus has to go tomorrow. A message needs to be sent to the players. They played their asses off in the second half. Eberflus totally let them down. Enough is enough.
  9. This graphic is bringing out a lot of emotions in me. And none of them good.
  10. Anyone else catch the end of last night's Chargers-Bengals game? Two things stuck out to me: Game was tied with about 40 seconds left and the Chargers had just driven into field goal range. With a time out in their pocket, they decided to keep the offense moving and actually scored a touchdown with 0:18 left in the game to take the lead. You know, rather than sit on the ball for a long field goal attempt. The Bengals proceeded to get the ball near mid-field for one last Hail Mary. The Chargers then used their last time out to review their defensive assignments for the final play... and proceeded to blitz Joe Burrows into hurrying his final pass. It ended up getting knocked down short of the goal line. You know, rather than.... Frustrating to watch it all done correctly. Even more frustrating because both tactics have been used time and time again by head coaches to get successful outcomes. Except Eberflus.
  11. Watching the post game press conference on Marquee. Reporters are asking a lot of pointed questions about the coaching and the the confidence they have. Caleb had an opportunity to throw the coaches under the bus; he backed them and said he has all the confidence in the world with his coaches. He's saying the right things, anyhow.
  12. They've made all sorts of bad history in just the last couple of games alone. Might as well make a little more.
  13. This! Each team is blessed with elite athletes (some teams a little more than others, of course). But it's what you do with them that makes the difference between 10-6 and 6-10.
  14. I was an Eberflus apologist in the past. Yes, at times it seemed like he was in over his head. But he kept the team together and had them playing hard... especially the second half of last season. But not anymore. He's still over his head. And it appears he's lost his players. He's gotta go. P.S. Please start throwing the ball a half-second earlier, Caleb. Too many passes where you haven't given your receivers to make a play.
  15. Fortunately, that clown... and the clown next to him who held Betts' wrist... were escorted out.
  16. Nailed it. No runs, three hits and two errors by the Tigers today.
  17. One more milestone to go: Playing an entire 162 game schedule and not winning 40 games. Still a pretty good chance that happens.
  18. After 9 beers... and just short of a metric crap-ton of air-fried snacks, here goes. This team is actually not that bad. Ok... so... the offensive line is bad. Make that very bad. The rest of the offense is bad, too. Is there a new coordinator? Asking for a friend. But the defense is good. Very good. Bordering on great if they didn't have to be on the field so much. Can the offense improve? Yes... as long as the O-line will allow. The defense will hold their own. If there was ever a case study on how important it is to have a solid offensive line... it might be this team.
  19. If this O-line could figure things out... they'd be very good.
  20. Is it weird that... based on last week's game... I'm feeling better about halftime adjustments?
  21. I think I blocked that Cleveland series out of my mind... for obvious reasons. Thanks for correcting me.
  22. Aside from losing both games in St. Louis (with a rainout in between), I really can't recall the Cubs being swept this year. (And I'm not counting the above series because of the rain out; they won the make-up game).
  23. Like seeing the packers lose almost as much as I love seeing the Bears win.
