    where is it being argued that murton is a superstar? we're arguing that he's better than floyd (who has average to below average speed and certainly below average defense now, as well).

    Huh? He was going for the ball and Blanco was in the way... don't have the video in front of me right now, but from what i remember, he grabbed him, throwing his left arm around blanco's neck and basically making it a big dramatic thing (that could have hurt hank).

    wasn't here for the game, but i saw blanco get mauled by molina. seemed very unsportsmanlike to me - he was going to get his interference call, anyway - there is no need to grab blanco like he did. i wouldn't be surprised to see him get drilled tomorrow. if i were lou, i'd say go for it if molina wasn't such a terrible hitter.

    "We all"??? I'm with Danny. I don't think Marquis performance this year is predetermined. Is he going to be a Cy Young candidate, probably not. Can he be an incredibly valuable asset to our pitching staff if he maintains some sense of focus? You betcha. Sell high on Marquis if you can replace the performance, but if you can't, it'd be pretty stupid if we're competing. Aren't there some rules about trading a recently signed FA in the same year he signed? Unless I'm wrong. can't til june 1st without his approval. maybe the 15th..but definitely one of those dates.

    Of course! Gotta love the media...Anything the Cubs, BoSox, or Yanks do is news... this is not as good as their advertisement for the sunday night game this week. "yankees-red sox. the perfect game. this sunday at 8pm on espn." yes, they actually say "the perfect game."

    The Cubs hitters figured out what those wood things were for. Marquis successfully portraying a major league pitcher. But nobody's hurt, right? The subs are just because of the blow-out? soriano was hurt.
