  1. which is one more sport than minnesota.
  2. we're going to end up with Sonny Dykes and I'm going to kill myself.
  3. Did I hear Petersen's son's primary doc joined the ucla med center? Maybe he's more open now. Correct, and UCLA's Med Center is one of the top at treating the type of cancer that his son has or had. Also, Cade McNown apparently found God, has stopped being a dick and parking in handicapped spots and has become a respectable alumni. I hope you get Peterson. I want Leach, and I'm worried you guys are going to get him. ASU is also a concern.
  4. I'm really hoping KU can snag Leach. The guy who runs the KU rivals board says if UCLA wants Leach, he's theirs. If they don't, we have a shot. Sucks that so many solid programs are opening up this year, though. UCLA, ASU, Ole Miss, Illinois, and UNC all seem like more attractive coaching destinations than KU. If we're all pursuing the same guys, I have to figure KU will end up with someone closer to the bottom of its list. Another guy I wouldn't mind taking a run at is June Jones. But I don't know how available he is.
  5. Wait, Kansas still has a football program? no. that's why gill had to go.
  6. OMG why hasn't Gill been fired yet?
  7. man, curry walked a mile before that backbreaker three. I was pretty unimpressed by Duke.
  8. thomas is definitely going pro, and yes, next year will be worse.
  9. LOL. you will punish us down low. You know more than me on this front . . . but I think you are too down on this year's Kansas squad. Sure, they're not as loaded as previous years -- but that just means you fell back to the pack a bit. KU was better than I expected against Kentucky -- they played them nearly straight up and UK is just loaded with talent/athleticism. This is probably the least talented KU team since the late 90s. I think they can be molded into a tough team, but we can't compete with the big boys this year. It'll be interesting to see how we fare against Duke and Ohio State. Should be a decent measuring stick. Almost coughing up a 20 point lead tonight wasn't encouraging.
  10. LOL. you will punish us down low.
  11. prediction: UCLA will beat KU tonight.
  12. i'm assuming you're trying the reverse jinx. It's not necessary. You could spot us 3 TDs and win going away.
  13. stupid OU. I really don't want an SEC rematch.
  14. I think blowing that Baylor game took whatever fight was left out of the team. But yeah, they're Godawful. Gill should be fired at the next commercial break.
  15. Rumor has it he may have been visiting the RB that just blew up his knee at the rehab facility he's at. Not sure what to make of that other than it's weird to be hammered and visiting a player in the hospital, if that is in fact the case. That report said he was near the hospital where Josey was staying, but they were mistaken(there's a medical center near where he was pulled over, but not that one). What seems to be the most likely case is that like he said in his statement, he met some friends for dinner(there's a country club nearby that membership is a perk in coaches' contracts), had too much wine or whatever he was drinking, and stupidly tried to make it home. he should've been suspended for 2 games, since that's how many games he suspended his players for when they got DUIs. It would've been interesting to see who coached better in the border war, Pinkel's empty visor or Gill.
  16. I'm still not wavering from my prediction that KU wins the conference. Kentucky is going to make a lot of teams look awful and Kansas hung with them. What's surprising is how weak KU is at forward. Or maybe Kentucky just made them non-existent. No, we're very thin there. Robinson is the only legit player.
  17. maybe they're assuming KSU's proximity to Lawrence will make them worse by osmosis.
  18. Gasaway had an interesting point on twitter the other day, tonight is the first game where KU is clearly inferior from a talent perspective in at least 5 years. that's probably true. I could probably dig around and find a few games where it was close (vs UNC in 08 could be argued, and a few of the Texas teams might have had close to equal talent), but this is definitely the weakest KU team in a while. TRob will be triple teamed all year. This definitely resembles Self's early KU teams talent-wise more than the ones we've had the last few years. I don't know if it will get much better next year, either. Self hasn't recruited very well the last few years.
  19. why were they playing drake on the road?
  20. We're way outclassed on the talent front here. I mean, Wesley and Teahan are former walkons, and we're expecting them to contribute big minutes.
  21. looking at the starting lineups for KU/UK...man UK has a lot of talent.
  22. i don't know how big a chance Dooley has of getting fired. I was writing every name I've heard tossed around. I did. I don't know the story with Fickell, either. Is he just an interim, or is there a chance he stays?

  24. ku has a chance to win and the ref blows an obvious PI call that turns into an INT.
  25. you've pretty much already done that in spirit here.
