  1. If KSU beats us by 50 again, it could be the final nail in Gill's coffin.
  2. I wasn't even sure if we'd start the game tied, so 10-10 in the second quarter is pretty amazing. I'm expecting OU to be up by 3 TDs by halftime though.
  3. OU will score as many as they decide they want to. I think Stoops pulls his starters at the end of the half like Gundy and probably just runs the ball the second half, but who knows. Not sure what there would be to gain by hanging 85-100 on a team like KU. Looking at those BCS standings really drove home what an awful time this is for KU to be rebuilding. 7 of the top 25 teams are on our schedule this year. At the start of the season, I would have said Gill would get one more year, no matter what. But if we lose out and get get pasted by Mizzou and KSU (on top of whatever record-setting days OU, Baylor, and aTm add to this season), I think Gill's job is seriously in jeopardy. The scary thing is, I think we're still better than Minnesota.
  4. I wish we could get stoops at KU for DC. I don't think he and Gill would mesh, though.
  5. A Minnesota, Kansas, Indiana, Oregon St. 4-team tourney would have all the talent of 2A high school semifinals.
  6. Does Missouri get any blame for spreading its legs to the Big 10 last year and, after things had apparently stabilized this year, flashing a tatty at the SEC? Does CU get any blame for bolting? Probably not. No one really cared about CU.
  7. I'll be surprised of anyone on KU's team even survives this weekend. I wonder if Stoops will pull his starters at the end of the second quarter like Gundy did.
  8. He doesn't, imo. And that's why what he does is so astonishing. MU has more talent than them, and it's not close. Snyder does seem to get his pick of JUCOs and transfers though, and his success rate there is pretty amazing. KU has about a 3% success rate with JUCO players. I swear, almost all of them produce for BS. Snyder has built and sustained the programs success through JUCOs and transfers. It's like the exact opposite way of how a person would think to build a successful program, but it works. They don't have an actual QB and they are undefeated. Crazy I laughed pretty hard when KSU dusted off his corpse and propped him back up on the sidelines. Shows how much I know.
  9. vegas doesn't lose money, folks. They did on the KSU game... I HOPE Mizzou trash goes to the SEC. They'll be lucky to be a middle of the pack team there in either main revenue generating sport. It pains me to say it, but I think Bill Snyder might be the best coach in college football. It pains me even more to say it, but I think Turner Gill might be the worst. We definitely have the worst S&C and DC in college football. i just want to know how bill snyder recruits so well. he looks like a generic old white guy and manhattan is a dump in the middle of nowhere. 11. jesus. what an embarrassment of a football team.
  12. And finally gets the ND/tulane rivalry we've all been clamoring for off the ground
  13. The East? WTF? I guess it would create a weird situation since the easternmost SEC West teams are actually Alabama and Auburn, but they could just make that a protected rivalry, couldn't they? Alabama has longstanding rivalries with both Tennessee and Auburn, so forcing Auburn to the East to accommodate Mizzou would kill off one of them as an annual game. Personally I like it because I think Mizzou's a better cultural fit playing the East schools regularly, plus it's currently the weaker of the two in football and would provide a lot of marquee basketball games. You could also just rename the divisions if the concept of Mizzou playing in an Eastern division is too much to bear. LOL
  14. i'm hoping they won't televise any of the KU games for the remainder of the year.
  15. If oklahoma state wants to, they could score 100 on us.
  16. That game was awesome. It's fun to have a decent Cats team to root for. Bill Snyder is a miracle worker. KSU does not have a ton of talent, but he has that team playing so well. They will absolutely hammer us again this year, and I'm not looking forward to it. I don't really see any winnable games for KU this year on the schedule. Maybe @ISU, I guess. Should've won today. Gah.
  17. ku has already blown a 20pt lead. :/
  18. KU got a stop on Tech's opening drive. I think that's maybe the 5th stop I've seen this season.
  19. I don't know, but at the end of the day, all the chest thumping over school reputation is pretty dumb. Unless your undergrad degree has a stamp on it from one of about 20 schools, they all look the same to most people. I know plenty of retards who graduated from Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, etc. KU is not Yale, but I'm pretty confident the education I received was comparable to the education most of the posters here got. That's just because you didn't drop out like half of us. I didn't drop out because the classes were so easy. Did you know most courses at KU have nap time built in?
  20. There are a lot of reasons the B1G won't add KU. That's not one of them. I don't know why you think that would have any bearing on anything.

I know plenty of retards who graduated from Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, etc. KU is not Yale, but I'm pretty confident the education I received was comparable to the education most of the posters here got. Grad school is a different story, and KU does have some very highly regarded grad programs.
  22. Kansas should probably move elsewhere in order to maintain their integrity. academic wise they would be a good fit for the B1G. I'm not sure if that was sarcasm or not, but Kansas would be at the bottom with Nebraska, about 25-30 spots behind Indiana and Iowa, and bring no football revenue. Also worth noting is that Kansas accepted 93% of applicants last year. The B1G isn't going to add Kansas because of their "academic fit" when they bring nothing else to the table. That's primarily because KU, per Kansas BOR regulations, has to accept anyone with a pulse if they graduate from a Kansas HS. KU has been fighting against it for a while, to no avail. It really hurts the university as a whole, since it adds a huge pool of students who aren't college material.
  23. I don't think MU's defection would signal the final break-up of the Big 12, though who knows. If they add BYU, Louisville, WVU, and some other school (Cincy? AFA?), UT and OU might be inclined to stay in the conference so they could routinely skate to undefeated seasons. I could be wrong, though. Losing NU, aTm, CU, and MU is making this conference an academic/athletic embarrassment.
  24. The insiders at some other message boards I read are saying it would take a big turn of events to keep MU in the Big 12.
  25. that mizzou db got blasted.
