  1. could've been a slow gun. where was lowe averaging?
  2. agreed thirded. Although he did have to deal with some lame questions.
  3. And he sucks, too. I win.
  4. those guys are geniuses.
  5. Am I really gullible, or is this really Len Kasper? If so, I was just floored by awesomeness.
  6. You rushed it a little too much this time. It lost a little of it's presense. When you post it 3, 4, 5 post down into the topic, after a few responses, it seems to have a little more emmotional effect. . I get that feeling too, sometimes I have to get it in when I can to make sure I remember though. We need more winning to work on the timing. I dunno. I kind of like it batting in the 2-hole. Walker style. Of course, I'd also like a thread exclusively of TT writing that. i have no idea why.
  7. Yeah, Hendry deserves some credit for pulling him off the scrap heap, and both Dusty and Hendry deserve some credit for converting him into a closer.
  8. As far as fielding goes...Pujols has zero errors, Lee has committed two errors (most of any first baseman in the majors). In the interests of fairness, Lee has much, much better range at 1B than Pujols and has to deal with erratic throwing from Ramirez and Cedeno on a regular basis (which he deals with quite excellently). I don't think any 1B could ask for a better defensive 3B than Scott Rolen right now, ya know? Oddly, though, Lee's errors have come on plays most pony leaguers could make.
  9. I was at that game. My best live cubs experience.
  10. Griffey's handle is Elijah Price. Classic.
  11. Is there any reason to think his defensive struggles are anything more than an aberration? He's always been labeled, to my knowledge, a good-great glove with a mediocre stick. Last year, there were hopes his hitting caught up with his defense. It seems to me, if you're willing to be "realistic" about his bat and how it will likely regress to the norm, you should also be willing to do so with his glove. Otherwise, you might be accused of being overly negative.
  12. I find myself looking forward to this post in every game thread. Not kidding.
  13. haha. I know plenty of sox fans that would agree.
  14. I can't remember. She was a customer at work. After that initial conversation, I kind of avoided her out of embarrassment.
  15. I believe there's been a juiced ball rumor about this time every season for as long as I can remember.
  16. Typically, though, it corresponds with a lucrative contract signed with the Cubs. By the way, Vance, I met a woman from Monroe, LA today. This is how our conversation went. HER: I'm in town from Monroe, LA. ME: Really? I know someone from Monroe. HER: Oh? Who? ME: (crap. What am i talking about? I don't "know" him. I mean, I kinda do, I guess. But not really.) His name is Vance. HER: Vance? Vance what? ME: (meekly) Vance Thecubsfan.
  17. And Glendon wasn't even pitching.
  18. Aldridge Bargnani Roy Noah Thomas
  19. Now I'm starting to wonder if that onion article was actually accurate reporting.
